To some degree I agree but getting him on campus for that summer camp is huge. If we can set a precedent that we get elite talent on campus for a camp every year. It would be a huge recruiting advantage. Let's see how year 1 goes but he's part of that group.

No, last spring there were many that said Morgan had no interest in Nd, re read his thread. Plenty of skeptics on all those guys, I am really stopping following recruiting because we have no idea.On top of that we don't know who will pan out ala Dayne Crist, James Aldridge, Toryan Smith....and on and on- Heck, nobody thought much of Brian Smith, taken as a leftover almost and became one of NDs best for a few years.

But fans always make the exception the rule. For every Teo and Morgan you give me, I could name 100 recruits that were pegged accurately on IE.

85% of the time, the consensus on IE is dead on, IMO.

You obviously don't know me, because I rarely post that we have no chance so early in the process. I get the "get him on campus" thing. I know how much of an impact that can have, especially when the parents come with them. Just his offer list, leaders and comment that he doesn't know anything about ND is all I need to know. I hope I'm wrong.

Maybe the camp should have it's own thread, just to keep track of the star power that is supposed to show up, and the star power that actually does show up?

The name is Irish Invasion. They've held camps in the summer that have had elite talent but if they are able to get the players that have talked about it. It would be the first of its kind in terms of the amount of talent. I'm a little skeptical that it works out perfectly but they are trying to hit a homerun here. When it gets closer and we have a better idea of everybody coming I'm sure a thread will get started. We're still two months away.

I wouldn't mind seeing it now just to see the fluctuation of "who said they would come" and "who actually came" throughout the process in a central place. Not GB but I wasn't expecting to land him but I do think these are the types of kids that can have an impact on recruiting by at least getting them to campus. If we can get the "IT" factor going with our summer camp it will help in the future. Not a huge loss but the more top talent the better.

I thought if we got a visit then yes we could have a shot. Sometimes when you get kids from the South up for unofficial if puts you in the game for officials and ND usually blows kids away on officials. So yes I expected ND to be a player here, because once you get a kid on campus anything can happen. Staff loves Patrick
