I like it when I don't even see defenders on the majority of a highlight reel.

Lol, 247 is doing crystal ball predictions for 2015 recruits?

Totally shocked, totally.
"I have never come in contact with Ohio State so they offered and I was shocked," Kirk said. "Coach (Tom) Herman was here today and they were telling my coach they have seen my film plenty of times. I was hoping when I heard they offered Kyle Allen they would offer me too. They did and they said that coach Meyer wants to use me like Percy Harvin."

we need to compile a list of players Urbie has told will be the next Percy Harvin. There must be at least 25 kids by now.

Just need a list of every single kid he has ever offered, I mean he just compared a linebacker to Percy Harvin

"I'm nowhere close to coming out with top favorites, but schools like Ohio State was one that was big for me," he said. "Texas A&M, Florida State, really the ones that came that weren't really known for recruiting Arizona. Those were the ones that kind of made me go,'Wow, they're actually coming out here for me.' "

Texas A&M might not be a school that regularly recruits Arizona, but they might have an extra hand with Kirk's recruitment. The standout prospect happens to be friends with 2014 Texas A&M quarterback commit Kyle Allen (Scottsdale, Ariz./Desert Mountain), who has been recruiting Kirk to the Aggies.

"I didn't think my summer would be this loaded, so the later part of July, especially after The Opening I'm going to get out to some schools," he said. "I'm most likely going to Ohio State, Michigan and Notre Dame anywhere in the next few weeks. I have to sit down and talk to the coaches and see if they have time for me to come visit."

insider...only a handful of 2015 prospects were invited to the opening and he was one

I hate to say this but we are really off the pace here. I read a 247 update where he's already talking about locking in his 5 OV's.

Yeah what the hell happened this year? Did the staff forget to recruit?

Well in this specific situation he has zero interest in education or at least that's my impression from what I've gathered from reading quite a few of his interviews. There's saying and actually doing. I agree we are behind but if last year taught us anythin it's that the staff wants kids that are university first and themselves second. It may take a while to get those guys, Kolin Hill, but they aren't going to be going after many Lynches or Elams this cycle. Ex. Clark, he's the best TE out there but we're not spending a lot of time there. It's the rough truth that there aren't many Jaylon Smiths out there.

@AnnaHScout: WR Christian Kirk says he's ND's No. 1 at WR since Denbrock took over, talks former "cloudy" situation, officials ($)Scout.com: 'No. 1 priority'

Notre Dame had dropped off because Chuck Martin wasn't sold on him; Christian has been hearing from Notre Dame a lot more since Denbrock became the OC. Will come out with a top 10 in the summer and then a top 5 after the summer.

He plans on taking an east coast trip this summer, so a visit to ND is a possibility. If he can't get to ND this summer but the good relationship is still there, ND could get an official visit.

Is there the potential of being a non qualifier here in your opinion?

That's weird because he said that academics are really important to him and his parents in the interview with Anna

No, not at all but a couple weeks back I saw his name on the front page of rivals and knowing that he's one of the best players in the country I read a few articles on him from both 247 and rivals. My impression of those articles is what I wrote above. Doesn't mean he's a bad kid just one that doesn't seem to value what ND does. I very well could be wrong.
