He even mentioned that he'll be changing his CB soon if nothing changes. Maybe he'll still be right on Williams?

Georgia making a big push. Source says "he won't go far from home"

ND won't give up here and will try get an official IMO.

Think Georgia all the way here. Florida is too shaky right now. His position coach, Marcus Jackson, played at Georgia and is in is ear every day. Family likes Mark Richt.

Richt isn't going anywhere. Contract extension after last season. Been to SEC championship game last two years. Season this year has been ruined by offensive injuries, especially Marshall and Gurley, and a young, inexperienced defense. Plus he's very well liked at Georgia.

Carter cancels his visit to Bama/LSU to go watch Ga play App State. Don't need a crystal ball to see where this one ends up.

Loy posted that the staff has basically stopped recruiting Carter at this point. Since he didn't come to visit on his bye week that pretty much said it all.

This one is a damn shame... perfect fit and exactly the impact ND needed on defense

This has been the story all along. He never had any intentions on coming here.

Not sure I've had a man crush on a recruit like I had with Lo... too bad they couldn't get him on board after that first visit... big get for UGA

I'm late on this since it's post NSD, but I spoke to a coworker at my new job yesterday and got on the topic of football recruiting. One of her relatives is close to the Norcross program, and had talked to her several times about Lorenzo and his recruitment. If I would've been in this job a year ago, I could have nipped any hopes of Carter attending ND in the bud when it started to seem like an actual possibility.

Regardless, she shared a couple of stories involving her relative about what a great kid he is. I'll be rooting for him to tear it up at Georgia for sure.

I know I know who cares, but found this interesting.

Which college disappointed you the most? “Notre Dame was pretty good. I liked them. The assistant coach stayed on me, but I never really got a chance to connect to the head coach (Brian Kelly). Or really (Jimbo Fisher) from Florida State. But if I had built a good relationship with Coach Kelly, I would’ve considered Notre Dame more because it’s a great school for engineering and that’s what I want to major in.” -

Blame GBDomer!

Blame GBDomer!

With his beady little eyes, and flapping head so full of lies!

Blame GBDomer!

Blame GBDomer!

We need to form an assault!

It's GBDomer's fault!

I remember him saying he wanted to go for engineering, so I am not sure why he chose Georgia in the end if in fact that was a big deal to him. Georgia Tech and or Clemson are arguably the best engineering schools near where he was from.

The article with the referenced quote also explains (basically) that staying home and playing for the state's premiere school won out in the end.

Ok. It's kinda disappointing but I thought he was a long shot anyway. He would have been a tough pull regardless if BK got involved.
