Chicago51= Dick Butkus maybe the best LB of all time

Chicago is my hometown

51 was also my number and younger brother's (who got all conference this year as a LT in his senoir year of HS so proud of him)

51 was also the number of another friend of the family who's father along with my dad helped found the youth football organization I help run.

The Falcon emblem is because the our organization now the largest travel youth football organization on the North side for sure and I believe the whole city of Chicago now is the Falcons.

Really 51 is special because people who have worn it and what the families of those people have done for the youth organization. Is just has a lot of symbolic meaning because of how this youth organization start barely making it off the ground and now it has grown to help so many kids with confidence, self esteem, making friends, staying out of trouble, and just being better people.

My last name is Russin... I was on an AAU basketball team where one of our players thought my name was "Tussin" for a solid 3 weeks. My friends on the team thought it was hilarious and the nickname stuck.

Was really big into pro wrestling in the mid to late 90s.
We all created our own personas...my friends and I that is.
We created our guys in video games and whatnot.

The Flying Alamo was mine...and remains my moniker both for email addresses and online accounts.

I'm the only one in the world.
Pretty sweet.

So yeah...silly teenage nickname that has stood the test of time.

I've been a ND fan since the 1960's when I was attending Catholic Schools in Toledo until the present. I've enjoyed National Championship years and suffered through lean years. Nick Eddy was my favorite player when I became a fan, and my loyalty has not wavered. Frustrated on many occasions (especially during the 3-9 season under Charlie Weiss), but always back the next weekend supporting the Blue and Gold.

Uh, sure. How ya doin', (bean counter) Lee?

Any relation to that Starship Commander from somewhere in middle America???

I wasn't sure if anyone would get that reference of Lee kirk. Lee kirk played the role of a male lactation consultant in the office and was the real husband of Pam.

A true Fighting Irishman and owner of the greatest war shillelagh that ever graced
the silver screen used to beat the crap out of his opposition in Gangs Of New York.
Great character and actor who portrays him. Just liked it,thought of it when I
signed up because some others I liked were already taken.

Twig is a nickname due to my last name, Terwilliger. 21 was the family number we all wore.

Lucci is short for Colucci, which is my last name. So that part was pretty standard, a nickname even given to my father. Those close to me think I'm a pretty Lucky guy, so LuckyLucci was born.

I just thought you were a fan of Lucky Luciano lol

One day for art, while creating our display boards for the year, I couldn't think of anything as a unique name tag. I flipped through a NatGeo and ended up drawing a lion in a semi tribal/woodcut mashup and threw a "hidden" shamrock into the mane, along with my name. While trying to be a smartass during a pre-football practice convo with one of our coaches about classes one day, my best friend told him that I did nothing but draw Irish lions all day. Since then, I've used IrishLion as my alias on game networks and websites. 10 is a lucky number in my family.

I was born in Canton, Ohio and currently live in a suburb not too far from the city. I also happen to be of Irish descent and obviously a hardcore ND football fan.

Still think you should go with the next/descendant of Lucky Luciano. Much more badass

I spend a good portion of my days giddily daydreaming about the ND defense searching out & destroying opposing quarterbacks like we're the U.S. army and they're (allegedly) hiding WMDs in their pads. Thus, the name General Colon Bowel (what I thought was a funny play on the name of former S.o.S. General Colin Powell.)

The spirit of me that abandons the need to be understood and accepted by status quo thinking, instead choosing to embrace the differences that make up my identity. The University of Notre Dame has quietly challenged and continues to challenge me on that path.

Didn't realize you were a member of the "All Knowing and Wise" club unlike the youngsters on this site.

Remember Nick Eddy quite well. He was a fan favorite for a lot of folks.
