If he visits ND post signing day and we have a spot... Do we still take a flier on him?

In all seriousness does ND send him a NLI tomorrow?

Just curious what you all thing.

Edit: not that it matters

No. He has to visit and meet with academic advisors before he could get a NLI. All recruits must.

Ole Miss dropped McKenzie, per Kipp Adams.

As much as this kid has bothered me with the way he has played out this process, I do really hope he finds a chair to sit on when the music stops.

Holy shit. He's screwed. Why did Ole Miss drop him? Unless he's a take for Florida... which is questionable.........

Don't believe he is.

Seems like it's Georgia (a school he has never visited) or bust (JUCO)

What happened with Vatech? Sorry if I missed.

From what I heard, and this could be wrong, he never had an actionable offer from them... they were very concerned about academics and "offered" him as a contingency plan in case some of their other guys defected. So he took an OV there, found out he wasn't a take... and the rest is history. At least this is what I heard from a Tech person.

So then it seemed like he would be locked in for Ole Miss because at Florida it was very questionable whether or not he was a take. Now that he has been dropped by Ole Miss... well, there was a slew of Georgia predictions today, and then he announced his top 3 without the bulldogs...

Simply put, he messed up big time gallivanting around on these OVs. Had he instead focused even more on academics and improving his test scores again and locked in on Nd's plan for him... he'd probably be playing DI ball next year. At this point, the odds strongly favor JUCO.

You know really, if he can hit a JuCo and get his academics to a satisfactory level, in 2 years he'd have plenty of takers at 4 yr schools. Sure, its not ideal, but it's a far better option than then most of the dudes he grew up with have.

This kid has had a very hard life and probably could use some emotional grow time w/o being under the bright lights of a D1 football program.

I just hope this kid finds someone to give him some good advice. I think Alford would have been very good for him. This is one case where the UA AA game was the worst thing that could have happened to him. Too many people telling him how wonderful he is. Kid needs to grow up before he goes anywhere.

As I've said several times I hope it turns out good for him, but I'm at the point where I don't feel sorry for him like I did before. He's brought all of this upon himself and even if he's had a rough childhood, you still understand what's good and what's bad. He was getting great guidance from Alford and his coach, but chose to ignore it. I think this kid is going to be very disappointed tomorrow.

"Jaw juh, Jaw juh,
The whole day through (the whole day through)
Just an old sweet song
Keeps Jaw juh on my mind (Jaw juh on my mind)

Other arms reach out to me ... "

VT and Ole Miss said, "Thanks but no thanks" and now Georgia is the hot Crystal Ball locale???

I could see UGA coaches handing him a map to Milledgeville, GA, home of Georgia Military College (JUCO).

"Ya'll come back now, ya hear!"

The saga ends. Although it is extremely odd he is picking a school he's never visited.

This kid is going to be left standing when the music stops, JUCO looks more and more likely

It would have been awesome if a coach from each school walked up and removed the hats instead of IM doing so.

Signs with a school he's never visited and had practically no contact ever with their coaches.... what a fitting ending.
