Maybe it was due to postage rates rising today
This.
Costs over fifty cents for everything JR wanted to send.

Pretty surprised he made that much money.
I think that salary is generous given his job responsibilities: "Will work with the program's recruiting efforts, handle special projects assigned by head coach Brian Kelly and assist in the social media strategies and execution of the football program." For reference, PR / social media people at F500 firms generally start at around $40K.
The only difference I really see are the kids that are already academically challenged are off the board. Other than that, they put their pants on one leg at a time, like to listen to the same music and eat Taco Bell at 2:00AM.
I like the hire, but I wonder if he'll hang around for more than 2 years? Especially if someone is offering $5K more a year. He's young and youngens' tend to look at money first when it comes to jobs.
I liked his creativity but some of his tweets were very embarrassing. His writing skills were atrocious, even for twitter.
The first tweet I saw about this didn't mention the TE coach part and I was puzzled but once I saw that it makes sense. Like others have said I'm sure he wants to be an actual coach and this is the beginning of that.
Best of luck!
Will be interested to see who they have lined up.
Leah Knight , recruiting operations coord at USF, is interviewing at ND for a similar position. Didn't think it needs its own thread so I figured I'd toss it here.

Rees.
She's cute, not hot but cute. I don't mind a girl getting the position. They tend to be a little more creative then guys, plus they know what a guys hot buttons are so so could use that to her advantage when communicating with recruits.
