Most of us (the mods) know of McKenzie's background to an extent at least. Without knowing what you know and without knowing precisely what is completely true, I'm not sure how I feel on the discussion of the matter. Remaining vague has been the best way to deal with it so far. i.e. Lax has referred to Isaiah as having a rough life before without much detail.

I'll leave this up to a what some of the other mods think though.

No. Send it around in PMs if you want. I am sure what you heard is accurate, and many of us have alluded to it in previous posts. But I think its time to leave McKenzie alone and move on. I don't think his circumstances excuse how he handles himself, but I do think they explain it (sort of). I, personally, don't see a reason to get into specific stories, facts, and gossip on a public forum. Just my opinion.

A lot of people have a rough life growing up but they still do good in school and make something out of that. Then there are ones that don't.

That tweet exchange made me so sad for this kid. It would've been funny, but it's so depressing that he genuinely seemed to think it required thanks and then had to ask. I still hope he goes out, finds success and gets a degree while tearing it up for somebody.

It should make you sad. It's a kid making a terrible decision at the age of 18, then not being able to realize that some assholes on the Internet are so bored and mean that they have to contact him to make fun of him personally for others to enjoy.

The older I get the more this kind of shit bugs me.

It was largely up in the air, but many, if not all, expected that he would visit VT, not ND this weekend.

We gave him a ticket to South Bend and told him if you're on the plane here, and you want in, then you're in. But, he's off to VT.

Now, that he has, his recruitment with ND is officially over.

Yep, and BK/Alford will have to tell him that that ship has sailed. If Loy's info was good about the contingency plan committed elsewhere, I imagine Alford's calling him as we speak, now that IM is on a plane to VT.
