I think the biggest competition would still be Vandy out of all the schools. No info, but just my feeling.

Derek Mason is not only a solid hire, he will improve upon what Franklin started at Vanderbilt.
And, he will be shopping down the same aisle as Kelley and the Irish. Look for Mason to build a top shelf coaching staff. AD Williams has stated that when the pride of East Stroudsburg State departed for Happy Valley, the interest college and NFL coaches showed in the Vanderbilt job astonished him.

I think it's good to create an "Auction-like Atmosphere". Nobody is going to commit unless they know that if they do...they are in. It won't be good for either party to play coy here.

Haha, Jake Brown is saying that Woody Wommack told him that Sawyers is still undecided about where he'll be visiting for the Jan. 31st weekend. Take this FWIW, they've been so far behind on some of the stuff. How do ND fans lose one of the best in Sapp but we can't get rid of a guy like Jake. Luck of the Irish. #cupcakes

Sometimes it's interesting to hear what they say to others. From the GT rivals site Jacketsonline on Jan. 20th. Apparently Texas, OSU, UGA, and Oregon were also trying to get him to visit before NSD. Obviously he chose us. However that's a solid group of schools that were stilling recruiting him. Also, his mother "loves" GT because it's close to home. She says it's his decision but she wants him close. Just a few things from the interview that I thought everybody might enjoy.

GT had their whole defensive staff visit him tonight. They literally couldn't be recruiting him harder.

As suspected with Sawyers visiting ND instead of Tennessee on the 31st, Sawyers has eliminated Tennessee from consideration.

agreed, but he's waited this long so why not stick it out and take the visit?

plus i would think an in home visit is on the horizon early this week to ensure that the visit is still in place.
