Just saw The Secret Life of Walter Mitty.

Terrific film. Not only was the cinematography excellent, but it had a great story and most excellent soundtrack.

A must see.

I saw it as well, I was pleasantly surprised. I liked it a lot more than I thought I would, very cool story and ur right soundtrack was great. Planning on seeing lone survivor this weekend, as of now my favorite movie I've seen in the last few months was probably prisoners

Lone Survivor is phenomenal.

One of the greatest action scenes in a movie. I was literally cringing. As far as powerful, its every bit as powerful as the opening scene in Saving Private Ryan. Its a different kind of powerful, but my God.

Wolf of Wall Street was amazing at the end I got up and wondered if it was a good movie then an hour I realized it was one of the best movies I have ever seen.

I felt this way with There Will Be Blood.

I just found screener torrents of all the season's best, so I'm about to have a great film marathon tomorrow haha looking forward to Wolf and American Hustle the most.

Walter Mitty was really fun. I don't know if it was as emotionally packed as trailer number one made it seem. The music in that trailer was really just perfect.

American Hustle was good but seeing it just after having seen the Wolf of Wall Street its tough to hold up to. American Hustle for me didnt have any likable characters. Wolf had similar character types, but the outlandish antics made them seem more cartoonish and fun. Didnt feel overly long at any point, and all the NC17 stuff was all tasteful.

Loved it. Hell the whole movie was just one big action scene. Was on the edge of my seat the whole time.

I'll say this though. I hope they are donating a bunch of the profits to certain people.

Took my kids to see Frozen. OMG they loved it. Somehow after seeing it just one time my daughter seemed to know all the songs and had all of the lines memorized...so I took her again. The snowman is hilarious.

Just watched two Stanley Kubrick films, Eyes Wide Shut and Paths of Glory, both for the first time (well, I watched Eyes Wide Shut once at a friends house, in middle school, for the bewbs..).

Paths of Glory was tremendous, not sure I understand Eyes Wide Shut quite yet.

Eyes Wide Shut is a labor of love. You have to watch it a few times to even scratch the surface, and it's tedious because there are so many slow parts that don't add anything to the overall message.

Kubrick films are always like that. Thought "Eyes" was disappointing. Don't think I could watch it more than once. I remember watching Clockwork Orange when I was a teenager. Might try a shot at it again.

I'm a fan of Kubrick. 2001 is one of my favs, although it isn't as "fun" nowadays without the chemical enhancements I used to watch it under the influence of.

Yeah Kubrick is the man, no doubt about it.

For me though Eyes Wide Shut was in the same category as 2001. As in, I didn't understand a minute of it hahah I liked it, I just didn't get it.

Whereas Paths of Glory was similar to The Shining where I knew it was a masterpiece during the movie.

Next up is 1956's The Killing and 1987's Full Metal Jacket. I've seen FMJ before, but was pretty young.

Then I'll tackle A Clockwork Orange, but from what I've been told I need to emotionally prepare myself haha

Just saw The Nut Job. Anyone with kids knows what I'm talking about. Anyway, parents, bring a flask.....you kids will like it, but it has very few redeeming qualities with anyone over 10.

I am pumped for this. From the preview it looks like quintessential Wes Anderson. Coming out in March:

Lone Survivor. Holy buckets. I cried like a school girl. It's unbelievable. I felt emotionally drained afterwards and just had no words. It is a must see.

Wolf of Wallstreet is fantastic. Amazing movie. American Hustle is good but overhyped like crazy IMO. Wolf is my No. 1 of the year, with Gravity not far behind.

I've got to find a way to get into Wes Anderson movies. I haven't enjoyed a minute of any of the two or three I've tried.

Yeah swap that out for The Killing. It's a dark comedy though right? I had my doubts about older comedies.

I would argue Dr. Strangelove is funnier now than it would have been in 1964 which is why it's brilliant.
