If it goes to four super-conferences that force our hand, you can bet your *** we'll be in the Big Integer. I don't like the current setup, but it is a logistical nightmare trying to maintain some continuity with rivalries while balancing the divisions.

Hypothetically, who do we see as the 16th member if if ND is the 15th? 'Cuse? WV? VA? I'm very interested in how this is going to shake out because it seems inevitable at this point, it's just a matter of time.

Give me the Big 12. At least we can control our tier 3 right and access Texas for recruits. When the Big 12 add FSU we will also have access to Florida.

I like consolidation, and I just think geographically and more importantly, academically, we are a perfect fit for the Big Integer. That's a very spread out conference if the new Big XII is going to run from Indiana to Florida to Texas, not to metion the western expansion.

We have a spread out schedule now so it won't really be that different. I just hate the idea of being under Michigan and OSU's thumb. Good thing is all this is worthless speculation because we will stay independent for foreseeable future.

Making a conference championship has virtually killed the OSU/UM game. It means nothing now. For UM the big game is State. As it stands if either one of these teams is already headed to the BIG Championship, are they really going to go 120% like in years past? Especially if they are meeting the BIG Championship?

OSU and UM were split so, like past history has served, one or both of those marquee teams would be playing in the championship game. Year 2, Wisconsin 2 and UM/OSU 0. The BIG isn't the Big2 and little 8 anymore. Whether or not UM realizes this they are on the path of average. They'll win 8-11 games per year. Every so often they might taste a BCS, they will never get to a BCS game. And now that Meyer is in town, forget about it.

MGobloggers actually believe they are going to beat us next year. While we graduate some key components, they lose more. No Denard, no Roundtree, no Gardner at WR because he'll be learning the QB position. And yes they have great hope, since Gardner lit up the Sisters of the Poor from the BIG in the home stretch.

We also have Purdue, Pitt, Michigan, and Michigan St which are close games headed home. I suppose it's not huge in the grand scheme of things, but I don't see us being able to make a quality schedule if the super-conferences come about. I want independence without question, but the changing climate in CFB is pushing us towards affiliation.

I disagree. I think the introduction of a playoff keeps us from having to join a conference. Not to mention, there is a strong possibility that the playoff will be expanded. I think we're going to be good to go and I think the ACC is a great location for the rest of our sports.

All they have to do is expand the playoff and all this realignment would stop. People freaking out about playoff monopolies and don't want to get locked out.
