Not really.

His coach just saying its really between ND, Oklahoma, and UCLA. Stoops and Denbrock on him a lot. He's going to USC because Sark recruited him at UW but it'd take a lot for him to go to USC. After he gets back from his visits they'll sit down and go over things. Will announce on NSD even if he decides before that day.

Michiah Quick (pictured), WR, 6-0, 170, Central High School, Fresno, CA is one of the most heavily recruited receivers in the class of 2014. The four-star recruit (five-star by at least one service) has managed to sift through the myriad scholarship offers and has narrowed his list to six schools, Notre Dame, Oklahoma, UCLA, Alabama, Oregon and USC. Central High School assistant coach, Tony Perry, says that the real list is actually somewhat smaller.

“It’s going to come down to Notre Dame, Oklahoma and UCLA, that’s what it’s going to come down,” Perry reported.

Perry says that Quick’s visits to those three schools have played a key role in elevating them.

“He told me he loved the trips,” the assistant coach said. “He said he felt comfortable. He said he really likes them. He felt comfortable. When you’re a kid and you leave, feeling comfortable is the main thing. All three trips were good.”

Two of Quick’s closest friends, former teammates, L.J. Moore and Hatari Byrd currently play for Oklahoma and while this would seem to give the Sooners a leg up, Perry doesn’t think so.

“They’re real close to him,” Perry acknowledged. “The thing about Quick is he’s smart enough that when it comes down to it, whatever is best for him, he’s going to do.”

Perry continued.

“After he comes back from UCLA, we’re going to sit down the next day and we’re going to go over everything and he’s going to know what he’s going to do.”

Many Notre Dame fans are worried about the role that USC will play in his recruitment now that Steve Sarkisian has replaced Lane Kiffin, but Perry doesn’t believe that the Trojans will end up being a major player.

“They were recruiting him at Washington, that’s why he’s going there,” explained Perry. “It’s going to be hard but he has to go look. He was up there with Sark and them, so he’s going to go look.”

Notre Dame assistant coach Mike Denbrock has developed a strong relationship with Quick over several years now. He will be joined by head coach Brian Kelly after the end of the dead period as the Irish make one last push for the elite receiver’s services.

“Mike has been on him a lot, both Mikes, (Oklahoma assistant) Mike Stoops and Mike Denbrock have been on him a lot,” Perry stated. “They’ve been really going at it.”

The in-home visits will represent the last opportunities for those recruiting him to get in their final pitches. Perry isn’t convinced those will make much difference.

“He’s met all of the guys before and he’s been to all three schools,” he said. “He’ll know; believe me he’ll know. He’s a pretty bright dude when it comes to that kind of stuff. He’s pretty stable. He’s not all over the place; he’s not one

The scumbag at UCLA worries me.

If this kid is as bright as his coach says he is, then I think this bodes well for us if he is looking at the 40 year decision as part of the equation.

Think that is almost entirely coach speak. I expect him to end up at Oklahoma or UCLA if Stoops leaves as things stand right now. But we've still got a very solid chance here.

Yea, he has said the same about all the Fresno kids. Now that doesn't mean that Quick isn't different but until I see it I'm not going to be a believer. We are going to have to hit his in-home out of the park, IMO.

Unfortunately I just looked at it and it doesn't say anything like that. Infact he's still got UCLA, Oregon, Alabama, Oklahoma, ND, and USC in his bio as the top 6.

I'm honestly not sure what that tweet says, but I don't think it implies he's down to only those two?

This is the only tweet I saw that it could be referring to.

haha yeah same. The most natural reading to me seems to be that he is down to Hollywood, USC or UCLA, and has eliminated OU and ND since he put never before them. Probably unfair to read it as such seeing as I have no idea what the first part of the tweet means

Well then. That's quite the tweet.

His "Hollywood, Never" would be the part of the tweet that would eliminate all LA schools.

If I had to guess at a translation, he's saying he's teaching the younger guys how to be "G's" (gangsters). A guru even once he is gone. Saying no to Hollywood. It's just OU and ND.
