There's always the possibility of the NCAA chasing him out of town. Folks thought the same about Carrol staying at southern cal. It took the NCAA to get him to leave. As for Mora, he's got to be doing something illegal.

Aside from Barnett, we should really start picking REALLY carefully who we decide to recruit from Cali. It seems they've just been causing ND headaches for a few years now.

Yeah, like I said, no hard feelings towards this one. Sounds like a stand up kid, and I applaud his decision. Sucks for us, but it's the right thing to do.

I don't know if I agree. Not to sound like a prick, but my father had prostate cancer and didn't even stop going to work. Laser surgery...boom...done. Was like getting a wart removed. This is an excuse, and it is pathetic. Fuck UCLA and fuck Jim Mora.

Edit: sorry, not trying to make light of it. But because of my personal experience, I think this is horseshit. Like I said, my father was diagnosed with prostate cancer. I left school and came home to go to the doctor with him to hear what it was about. The doctor said it was incredibly common and simple to treat. I went back to school, my dad had his surgery and the cancer was gone the next time I saw him, and I literally never heard about it again. That was six years ago. So because of that, I find this kid playing this up to be like his father is on death's door is a little insincere. Especially in light of the clear bullshit that went on in almost the exact same situation last year. You can almost picture Mora's smiling face when he found out about the diagnosis, knowing how easy it would be for him to leverage it. For real, fuck him.

So much bad taste here, man.. I mean good for your dad and that's great to hear. But to call it pathetic is just asinine, prostate cancer isn't always a simple surgery, and who knows how severe it may play out to be over the next 4 years.. And a disabled mother on top of that. Applaud this kid above all else. Anything less is pathetic..

All prostrate cancer isn't the same, some are worse than others. But yeah, I know multiple people who have had it (didn't even know they had it), had the surgery, and were back at it...in no time.

Like EV (or any kid), I'm all for a kid staying home and being close to their family (for whatever reason), if that is what he desires (although the circumstances with EV are a little different- he signed his LOI). But actually stay close to home. If EV went to Cal, ND fans wouldn't have nearly the animosity they have for him. If Dickerson wants to stay "close to home," then I think he should actually stay close to home...not hours away.

But I wish his family the best and hope everybody is ok.

Dude, be cool. He could have been like EV and not even given a reason. He was man enough to explain his situation, and not everyone's illness is the same.

I was saying it months ago...we're switching to the "Cat Attack" defense. 4 CATs, 1 DOG, 2 DEs, 2 CBs, 2 Safeties.
