Offered today. Good offer list for such a low ranking. UCLA and Arizona are the two programs that were listed as major factors but he was recently offered by Oregon and he called that a "game changer."

Recent quote from 247 article:

"I have a 3.2 GPA right now so I take my academics very seriously," he said. "I like business management but I'm not locked into that 100-percent

for some reason I remember reading somewhere on here that we would be sending out a bunch of DL offers over the next few weeks.

“@AnnaHScout: "I got emotional in my coach's office when I found out they offered me" - DE Matt Dickerson on what a ND offer means Scout.com: Dickerson thrilled with Notre Dame offer "

Apparently this isn't the same school as Adoree Jackson and others, why are there two schools named "Junipero Serra" in CA? So confusing

There are actually three in CA. Apparently this Junipero Serra was/is a pretty big deal. JunÃ*pero Serra - Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia

He was the driving force in the creation of the California Mission network to bring Catholism out west. Many of you have heard of Mission San Juan Capistrano where the swallows return to every year however there are many missions ~2 hours horse ride apart going up and down the California coast. (San Diego, Carlsbad, ...)

So why was he emotional. I want to know.

Because the Junipero Serra statue that is off of the 280 Hwy near San Mateo appeared to him in a dream and said to go to ND. That's what I'm guessing anyway.

I'm guessing that he is conflicted by his great positive enthusiasm for Notre Dame and his knowledge that Beau is a mod on IE.

We have seen these conflicting emotions before [Aaron Lynch, Eddie Vanderdoes, Kate Upton]; never works out well for us.

Going by the interview ND could be very hard to beat for this kid.

He got emotional because it was a big offer for him. Loves that ND is a catholic school as well as the academics and tradition.

Names three things he's looking for in a school: how he fits in with his coaches and team-mates, academics and tradition, with academics being the most important. Says location is a non-factor.

Thank you.

Looks like a big powerful kid with a good athleticism. Similar to Jay Hayes.

man...seeing USC on an offer list used to really mean a lot more to me than it does now.

happy for this kid though and if he ends up at ND i'd welcome him with open arms. gotta love kids who truly want to be a part of the program

They're still on restrictions and landed what, five 5 stars last year? An SC offer still means something.

I just do not see kiffin as a great talent evaluator or developer and he's still reaping the benefits of the previous regime...jmo.

Makes sense. They'll land kids off of name and location alone.

Visiting the first or second week of August with his sister, mom and dad. Then flying to Arkansas for the same thing.

He has a sitter? I'm not sure he's got the maturity level this staff looks for if he still has a sitter at this age. Pass.

I think he meant sitar. I heard Dickerson was testing out each location to see if his musical prowess would be rewarded in south bend.

I can't speak for the staff but I believe someone a week or two ago shared a post of TJ that said we are willing to take 10 front 7 players.

We are currently at 5.

1 True DL in Hayes
1 True LB in Martini

The other 3 have all been considered at Cat/DE. (I would say Trumbetti is true DL but it has been said he could play OLB)

If we took Dickerson, another true DL, we would be at 6 front 7 players.

ND could still easily take an Elam/Holley leaving 2 spots for ilb/olb.

Right, I can't remember exactly how it broke down but IIRC, just based on that post of TJ's that someone passed along, we can take any and all of Elam, Holley and Dickerson.
