ISD is not reporting anything. 24/7 had an encouraging tidbit in their Tunnel Vision, though.

So because a guy that predicted ND would suck says IM is going to be eligible, you claim he knows nothing and don't believe it one bit? Isn't that like saying Al Gore believes fossil fuels are the future and you don't buy it. Tad far fetched don't you think? I'd say when the biggest ND hater is believing something GOOD will happen to ND, then I'd definitely find at least SOME truth to it.
I'll say this, there is NO, I repeat NO facts or evidence stating the opposite, so while I do believe that you should take these new rumors with a grain of salt, shouldn't the prior rumors stating he wasn't going to qualify be also?

On a positive note besides the retarded post from connect the dots...who ever the hell that is, even the pessimistic post in this thread have been good? Not sure if that quite makes sense but it seems like we all admire IM's gumption if you will. He is trying to take the road less traveled, he's been offered alternatives and still wants to fight to be at ND, I can do nothing but admire a kid in today's world for this. A lesser man would take the ole miss, or UF offer and call it a day. It's also nice to see a thread where we all get alog.....can we sing kumbaya now

Some rando on ISDsaying he's pretty much good to go, while 24/7 said he's not at this point in time, but there the situation is improving slightly.
IMO, I don't think McKenzie will be "good to go" by NSD, but that doesn't mean he won't be by the time our freshman football players enroll in the early summer.

Loy and Wiltfong had positive things to say in TV, we could have an answer within the next week. The other was a poster from ISD that has had his validity called into question. I can't speak to that. However, TV sounded optimistic

It has nothing to do with being a 'hater' or a sunshine pumper. It has to do with his intelligence. I'm not making stuff about here and 'hating' on some random dude. I met him and talked to him. He's not the brightest tool in the shed, and his comment about us going 6-6 because he didn't like our right friggin' guard speaks to that.
And in his post, he said he heard that McKenzie qualified from a friend who thinks he knows everything. That was his source. A text from a friend who thinks he knows everything lol. People took that and ran with it. So I gave them some context on the poster who wrote that.
The prior rumors came from MULTIPLE reporters from multiple sites. 24/7, ISD, Rivals. I personally talked to one of those reporters last Friday about it. I won't go into everything, but I will say that the grades and test scores are absolutely a real thing. Hell, McKenzie has admitted the test problem several times.
Trust me, I have never thrown out 'rumors' that I don't know for sure are true. I can name two times that I have talked about players that I heard bad things about from multiple people: Seantrell Henderson and the Pitt/UCLA/Pitt/who-the-hell-knows RB who ended up transferring twice in two years. McKenzie is not in their class at all, but there are some issues he needs to work out. Hopefully he does.
