I use the flowbee for man junk. Two birds... One stone.

Is that what you were left with after using a flowbee on your man junk? ha.

Bunch of heathens in here. Drinking swill coffee while hoping the TP they have stuck to their cut up face stays on.

Go to the Art of Shaving store in your mall and pick up a basic kit. You wont shave with a regular razor again.

Folgers... pfft...

I have a nice shave kit. The badger hair brush, a nice shave oil (that I prefer to gel or foam) and a nice razor from the art of shaving. I get why someone would want a nice shave setup. What I don't get is why someone would want or need more than one. You should be shaving with the thing that works best for you, and there is only one best by definition. Variety where flavor is concerned (in coffee, beer, whiskey, wine, etc.) is all good but I don't get the variety in shaving equipment.

For dinner last night, I had regular chili.

For lunch today, I went to Skyline and got Cincinnati-style chili.

That's my chili of the day.

I used Cottonelle with aloe today.. very soft texture that adds a soothing element upon wiping. Definitely going to keep it in my rotation.

You're gonna get some heartburn if you keep eating chili like that.

I sense that you're joking but you should try baby wipes. It's an affordable luxury and adds to my enjoyment of the day.

Well, I just saw a "crawl" while watching the local news on TV. The gov has declared all Minnesota public schools closed on Monday.

The high is predicted to be -14 and the low -24. School is rarely cancelled here due to snow. It's generally the temperature. There's no good reason to have the students turning into freeze dried jerky waiting for the school bus.

It's expected to be a balmy +21 today.

Chicago, South Bend and the east coast (north of Key West) – stock up on the necessities. You know: beer, wine, brandy and the like. It's headed your way ...

As Tenacious posted earlier, there are a lot of shapes to straight razors. Some are better for shaping, some are better for when you are cutting longer hair off (ie getting rid of a beard) and some are better all around razors. Really, the same reasons anyone has more than one style of cutting utensils. How many different types of knives do you have in your kitchen for instance?

Also, some people just like collecting them. Nothing wrong with that. There are a lot weirder things people collect on here (ie Acamp's cats).

The predictions of the Green Bay game this weekend are scary... I'm sure some of you can't fathom 110 degree heat... much like I can't imagine sub 0 cold... 30 degrees is crazy to me...

though I did see snow in a movie once.

Good luck guys.

I moved to South Carolina summer of 2012 from OH. When I was getting to know the employees that would be working under me, there was a younger guy that was astounded that I had been in temperatures under 0 degrees and survived. He asked me about it for a week.

I sure don't miss that weather. It's much more brutal than 100 degree heat.

I have lots of kinds of knives in my kitchen, but that is because I cut lots of kinds of food stuffs. I only have one face. I shave it the same way every time. I don't cut lines on my face or any of that nonsense. So maybe that is why I don't see it as much as an art as a matter of daily personal maintenance.

Physically, maybe, but the mental toll of Florida summers is no joke. Here in Orlando it's 90 degrees and 95% humidity pretty much every single day from May through October. That kind of heat/humidity combination just beats you down day after day after day for six months. It's enough to make you want to cry when you watch a 60-degree football game in mid-October when it's still 87 outside.

Then I suppose you only need one razor, but Tenacious either a) cuts his facial hair differently at times (I do. Sometimes a beard, sometimes not) b) needs one for shaping, one for the rest of his face or c) just likes collecting them.

Kinda funny that you don't see it as an "art", but bought your razor at "The Art of Shaving". lol

Beards. I like beards. A couple, three years ago when my mom was sick and through the process of her passing I let my beard grow. A little kid looked up at me in December, (mom passed on Veteran's Day '11) so I kept it though Christmas. This year I started it at Labor Day and probably will never shave it off!

Some days I dress up, some days I dress down. But I almost always dress. To cold today not to. Got on the road this morning at 9:00AM, it was -5. It will be colder tonight. This weekend it will be warmer. We are expecting another Alberta Clipper this Sunday. Maybe another foot of white stuff.

So my other thing is snow blowers. I have my Dad's 1979 John Deere with a 42" auger. Mike at D&R power found a new high performance carb for it two years ago. It is truly the baddest in the neighborhood!

So snow blowers. After beards. And then shotguns with deer slugs, and Irish Whiskey. That is my winter list.

Removing facial hair. Seems pretty mundane and repetitive. I choose to do it a little different, but wind up at the same place, for no other reason than I can....or I like to start my day a bit differently.....or I just admire the craft of someone who can make an uninteresting tool interesting.

That may happen after years of being in it. That first summer here in SC was HOT! But I loved every minute of it. I thought I would die the first time I mowed the yard but ultimately that sweat felt great.

Also, our winters are a better reprieve from the heat here than yours are. Today's high is 42 and sunny.

IrishLion10 may need GITF's advice if he keeps eating like this.

How is it on dingleberries though? Seems like usually the softer the paper, the more dingleberries I find when showering later.
