Yep. I keep saying we will lose a few to transfers and at the top of my speculation list is the Atkinson brothers...

Also...no mention of JuJu?

IMO, been "gone" for weeks... even before Sark hire. Then again, I never thought we had a chance with him so maybe someone else will have a different opinion.

Frank and Christian have also mentioned a number of times they expect ND to take more than the "numbers game" predicts us to in order to account for the yearly attrition. I would not be surprised to see 8-9 spots left for recruits + 5th years. The staff is very tired of having less than 80 schollie players available to them on any given Saturday.

Also, don't be surprised if Morgan makes his way back to campus this weekend. It's one of the major goals for Kelly during his visit, even if he visits just for a couple hours.

If it's eight spots:

1: Morgan
2: Sykes
3: Luatua or Schultz
4: Quick
5: McKenzie or Nelson
6: Hendrix
7: Moore or Hill
8: Lombard

I'd be elated.

So I just stumbled upon this feature 247 has, a recruiting class calculator? I'm not sure how long they've had it...

But anyway I addd Morgan, Sykes, Luatua, Quick, and McKenzie and it was the #2 class in the country if no other teams had commitments.

That class would have a rating of 274.6 which would have been 9th last year and 7th the year before.

I would be very very pleased with that finish.

Do those factor in Newsome or does it drop the top and bottom?

Actually, Jhonny is our lowest commit for those purposes. I don't know how the rating is actually figured. Our highest and lowest recruits are listed on there.

They list Jhonny lower than a kicker? Color me confused/surprised. Thanks.

Yeah. I came here to post that too. I just called him out on it. We'll see if he responds.

Why "call him out?" I know he is considered a tool but he is just making a prediction.

Calling out may not have been the right term, more just asking why he thought that way. It appears he may not have known about the JUCO commitment. I was cordial and said thanks for the response. No name calling from either of us.

Yep. No problem. I generally hate to burn bridges with these guys. I have had decent convos with many of them via twitter, even Dari Nowkhah (dude from CFB Daily). He's a decent guy, just is too pumped into ESPN's hype machine. I'd hate to 'call out a guy' and then never get a response from them again.

Lot of positive news as far as Morgan to ND. I'm still somewhat skeptical until I hear it from Morgan. Granted he's visited an awful lot lately which is great news but I haven't read anywhere that he's called ND his leader. Until that, I consider it progress and I keep my fingers crossed.
My biggest want remaining in this class.
