Wasn't this announced forever ago?
Alabama has that OJ Howard kid who is an absolute beast of a TE. Anyone seen him play? Incredible size and speed.
Apparently, he was the only kid that could ever match up against Jaylon Smith in 1v1s.
ND was in a good position before the Alabama game. Look what happened there.
Do you guys (who said so) really think that how the season goes has nothing to do with how top quality recruits decide? Do you mean that we would get these high 4*s (or not) regardless of whether we go 11-1 or 7-5? You may be right, but I'd like to understand why you thing that. There is not much of a way for us to prove it either way, short of the kid himself (or someone close to him) saying so, but I want to understand your reasoning.
I don't know, I think it can matter. If you really lose bad or win by domination. Look at Bama, they do nothing but win and they again have a top 5 class.
Lets see how the fallen SEC teams do this year, FL, GA and SC. Their classes right now are off from the recent past when they were winning. A&M and Auburn look to be putting together a really good set of classes for 2014. Auburn is winning and they are making it count with recruiting. They do have a new coach and that usually helps. A&M is just exciting (and winning) and they have a top 5 class right now.
I think you can always say that winning never hurts, but losing can.

I am not saying that a season that doesn't meet expectations can never have an effect on recruiting, I just do not believe this season is having an effect on this recruit. There is a delay on an announcement when compared to our expectations and all of us are anxious for communication from TL, I believe it will come shortly.
IF something were to happen and he changes his mind, I do not believe the way our season has unfolded would be the reason. If I was in a position like WR or TE and was pretty set on coming to ND before the season started, then you see the way this offense is run and has performed with TR running the offense, and then I think about having EG back in this offense next year, I am excited about that opportunity.
I didn't mean for it to sound like I never believe that a season, that doesn't match expectations, won't have a neg affect on recruiting.
I don't get why he's waiting so long
