I want to be happy for this kid, but I'm afraid this is worst-case scenario for ND here. He knows too much and this COULD bite us come game day against BYU. Hopefully I'm just being paranoid. Someone feel free to tell me if I am.

It's not paranoia when they ARE after you.

i really don't think there is going to be much he can share that they won't know with two full years of game film

Never really understood why he wasn't at BYU in the first place, but I am happy for him. He realistically was never going to play here. He probably will play at BYU, though, so I wish him the best.

It was part of a vast right wing Mormon conspiracy to prosletyize Catholics through subliminal messaging during ND football games.

Lennay Kekua was actually a counter action of Mortuus Nent, known more commonly by it's Latin to English translation, Dead Spin. Mortuus Nent is a covert branch of the Vatican CIA (Catholic Intelligence Agency).

With the op exposed Salt Lake City called their operatives home. The Badger transfer. in-season, approval prior to the ND game demonstrates how deeply LDS has successfully penetrated regulatory organizations such as the NCAA.

I don't like this. I'm not saying Badger will single handily take us down with his knowledge of our playbooks, formations, etc...but it's certainly got to be an advantage. There should have been some kind of stipulation where he couldn't play in the game against us or something. It's not like we booted him off the team, he left on his own accord. In the words of Andre the Giant....I hope we win.

its common in soccer where a player is sold or loaned to another club that there is a clause put in that states he cannot play against his former club for one season. probably should be put in place here, who knows maybe Mendenhall will sit Badger for the ND game as a sign of good sportsmanship or something.

Do your really not want him to play against ND? I think the real problem if any is that he has a really good understanding of what ND does, and that would be transferred (or not) whether he played or he didn't, just by virtue of him being on the team. But I saw some practice. And I have seen video of more. I don't think Chris could play with the ND receivers. I think if BYU puts him in, as a known, it would be more of an advantage for ND than for BYU.

its not like our schemes are pretty complex, sure half of us can predict ND's plays coming on O and D and all we do is watch each game once or twice.

BYU has lost 4 DBs since preseason camp started. They need Badger's body regardless of his skill level. Johnson was a starter. Hague and Lee were on the Two Deep.

[DB] 09/05/2013 - Sam Lee, JUCO, out indefinitely ( Back )
[DB] 08/13/2013 - Jordan Johnson out for season ( Knee )
[DB] 08/15/2013 - Trent Trammell, JUCO, out for season ( Knee ) )
[DB] 09/15/2013 - Mike Hague is downgraded to doubtful Saturday vs. Utah ( Hamstring )

Why should someone be eligible to play immediately because someone in his family is ill?

Dumb move

I see no problem on the issue of "insider information". Opponents are openly saying that they know what we're doing both offensively and defensively prior to the snap anyway. All I could imagine is that we might use "hot words" for certain adjustments that Chris could know. If so, adjust them.

meh...I see the reason for concern. But the kid was buried on our depth chart. And if he's sharin' he's sharin'...his playing would actually be a liability for BYU since, oh yea we know his weaknesses too...yes? If Bronco had the leisure to do it the best way possible, he'd milk Badger, and sit him...paint it as a good sportsmanship gesture as suggested here. Reality is depth issues activate him immediately, and likely through the ND game.

Chess aside...I liked Chris Badger as a member of the ND team...wish him the best, just not against ND...:)

Seems like such a great kid. No bitterness at all toward ND, quite the opposite. It's a shame it didn't work out for him here, but he truly deserves the best of luck.

Exactly. What can Badger (a special teamer) tell them that their HOURS of film, can't??

Notre Dame doesn't exactly do very many exotic things on defense. I wouldn't worry about Badger having some secret to humiliating ND's defense.

Yeah. Badger said this himself to Fortuna, and Kelly said during his presser that we've taken some precautions with respect to signaling for this game but he's basically not worried about it.
