Said he enjoyed his OSU visit. Hung out with Urban and Vrabel. Would like to visit Florida, Notre Dame, Syracuse and maybe Alabama. No specific order of which school will get the next visit. Scheduling with his football schedule is the issue. Going to take his time to make the best decision.

Kelly and staff will keep plugging away.

Long way till signing day fellas. ND is just fine. You know one thing, that if he chooses another school its not going to be from a lack of effort or planning.

and for those worried about Jay Hayes....

That's great. Jay seems like he would be a bunch of fun to be around.

That video put the biggest smile on my face. It's simply awesome to grow up a fan of a football team for reasons beyond football, and see a recruit and future player so eloquently and passionately speak about all the reasons you cheer for them.

This. From day one I've felt it in my bones that Holley would be Irish, but then OSU Bucknuts Insider Alex Gleitman gives his readers what they want to hear and says it's down to OSU and PSU, and posters like Lax say it's been trending away for a while, and I start to doubt my gut. **** that. He will be Irish and the Brooklyn Brawlers will wreak havoc on the interior for years to come.

Re: Hayes...he might be my favorite recruit in this class.

I have been following ND football and recruiting for a long time now. As things get more bizarre every year, I have learner a couple of things...I don't take it for granted that every commit signs with us...and...until someone is signed elsewhere we may still have a chance.

Just my $.02

Jay Hayes just seems like a leader on and off the field. I am sure Brian Kelly is having Jay handle his recruitment and not Diaco

Nd's new batman and robin? Jay would be robin as he'd talk his foes into confusion while Thomas thumped them.

In Rivals update it says he will take more visits. Notre Dame, Florida and Cuse were mentioned. Maybe Bama

If I were to guess, it would be for the BYU game when Hayes and Trumbetti take theirs. Gotta go all in for Elam/Hayes. If we pull one we are in good shape. I have not heard of any other names on the board for the interior D-line so I am sure they are a priority. The great thing is with Dickerson's pledge we can go all in on these two and still be in fairly good shape here.

I love the effort current commits put in when recruiting other players. That has to pay huge dividends late in the cycle (ie. the strength of last year's class during the BK to the Eagles saga). These kids love ND, they love each other, and it's great to see them form friendships. I hope Holley ends up Irish. If not, it won't be for lack of effort.

This is probably one of the most obvious differences in previous regimes tactics. This staff is relentless, but the fact that other commits get involved speaks volumes and definitely helps them play for each other and the team when they get to ND.

We've officially faded, per Steve. There's a clear top 3 of PSU, OSU and UF, with PSU and OSU in front of UF. We're still in the mix and trying to get another visit, but he might decide after his visit to UF in November.

Well...Tom Lemming said Dickerson is a better prospect than Holley. I trust his judgment, so it's whatever at this point.

Just goes to show you the kind of person Holley is then. He doesn't want to commit to the 40 year plan. Hayes gave him the layout and he chose not to follow it. He chose the easy path. Oh well, time to focus on Elam then.

This is one of the most pathetic posts I've seen on here. He doesn't committ to notre dame so that makes him less of a person? You must know Thomas well then. And when Elam goes to Bama or Kentucky what will that make him?

ND isn't for everyone and not everyone loves ND like we do and fans need to remember that. Good luck to Thomas Holley wherever he ends up at.

Plus I mean let's not pretend that 1) you need to go to Notre Dame if you want to teach HS and coach, or 2) that other schools' alumni networks don't hook up non-thug football players with great jobs.
