Actually he didnt have INTs until the second half. His stats were along the lines of 11-16 120yards and TD in the first half. He played a worse second half until the last drive and OT. So, once again you are make a ridiculous statement and try to back up with incorrect info.

Hackenberg had 1 pick in the first half of the Michigan game if that's the game you two are referring to. 1 in the second

My twitter response was AFTER he had 2 picks. I'm sorry I do not remember what quarter it was in the game, but it was after a 2nd turnover of his. FYI - I'm in CST.

McKenzie still reminds me of Holliday, and Treadwell still of Plaxico. Sorry.

Enjoy your night of researching me, coach. I have to go.

Edit: If you get a chance, could you take down the picture of me and my girlfriend?

Thanks champ!

And wooly, I can see the sproles comparison. My initial thought was Holliday though. If Mckenzie is like either were in luck.

Tridon Holiday could have ran in the god damn Olympics he was that fast. Isaiah is quick and small so let's compare him too

Stedman Bailey
Ace Sanders
Joey Getherall
David Patten
Martavious Odoms
Damiere Byrd

Am I doing this right?

Champ,

The time of your tweet response is irrelevant. TP said when its all said and done Hackenberg is gonna be special. You responded that he's terrible. Kid is 18, a true Frosh playing with an extremely short staffed team under intense pressure. All he did was lead his team to a last minute TD drive to tie the game which PSU ultimately won. He makes freshman mistakes but his talent is there and potential is scary good. Why do you think he's terrible?

As for the Holiday comparissions, what are you seeing that many of us aren't? Holiday is pure special teams as evidence shows with his 2 career NFL receptions and 71 career receiving yards at LSU. They aren't even the same size, which has been pointed out. People have tossed in much better player comparisons yet you still defend your stance with its my opinion. Might as well say he reminds me of Mike Vick. Both are AA, fast, agile, and small. Vick, although listed at 6'0 is much closer to 5'9 - 5'10. But that'd be stupid of me because A) player comps are dumb B) its not accurate in comparison anyway.

I'm sure you mean well but you seem to be the type that speaks before thinking. I hope you keep posting in here, I really do. I just hope you start doing a bit more research before posting. Nothing wrong with being passionate about football, just be a bit more realistic.

Grambo,

Thanks for a respectful response.

Well it is relevant, because as the game went on, Hackenberg played better. Early he was playing pretty bad IMO (like I said, when I tweeted that, he was at 2 picks and <50% completion %).

IDK how he'll turn out good or bad, but that's the only PSU game I've seen this year, and at that point in the game, I thought he was a mess.

They're pretty darn close to the same size. Lax said McKenzie measured in at 5'7", 170, while Holliday was 5'5", 160 at LSU.

And 'my opinion' is all I can support my comparison in, because it's subjective. I call it like I see it with my own eyes. I'm no guru, so that's all I have to go on.

Holliday was a special teams freak in LSU. McKenzie might not have the straight line speed Holliday did, but he's not far behind. Hopefully McKenzie will be make a bigger impact than Holliday did on offense, but if he even matched Holliday's total yardage (special teams + offense), that would be huge for ND. I didn't mean for this to sound like McKenzie would be limited to special teams player, I think he'll be used more on offense than Holliday.

Noted. I usually see something and post within seconds, especially when having a discussion. I'll check my 'sources' before I offer another spot on comparison ;).

Edit: *Didn't do research so IDK the measurables* - McKenzie actually reminds me of Devonte Neal based on highlight film. Anyone see that?

Welcome Isaiah.

The 40 time is the most over-hyped stat in football (A better time is the 25yd, which for the life of me no one really tracks). It his game speed that counts and from what I've seen, he'll do just fine for us.

Isaiah McKenzie, WR, 5-8, 170, American Heritage High School, Plantation, FL had made it clear that he intended to commit to Notre Dame for quite some time now. For McKenzie, the wait came to an end last week.

“It’s true. I did commit to Notre Dame,” McKenzie told ISD’s Brian Town. “Coach (Tony) Alford knew I was going to commit tonight, so I did it. We were just waiting on a test score and that’s all we really needed for me to commit. Everything else was just fine, but we needed that score.”

McKenzie chose the Irish over offers from Kentucky, Rutgers, Cincinnati and West Virginia. Originally, he planned to take additional visits before pulling the trigger, but he knew where his heart was and saw no reason to wait any longer.

“I really planned on making my decision sometime in December after taking a few more visits, but that all changed because I felt it was time for me to get the process over with and go where my heart is,” he explained. “I wasn’t rushing to make a decision, but honestly my heart’s with Notre Dame.”

McKenzie commented on what it was about Notre Dame that drew him to the Irish.

“The whole Notre Dame program’s like family and the coaches are really great,” he opined. “This is just a great opportunity for me to get a tremendous education and play football at the same time, so I feel like I need to take advantage of this opportunity.”

McKenzie plans to take his official visit to Notre Dame on November 2nd for the Navy game.

McKenzie is smaller than the typical BCS player but he also is more explosive and exciting than most. He is fear less and has a knack for finding the end zone. It would not be a surprise if some of the best BCS schools in the country took a run at him because he can do what can't be taught.

Not small, he's a scatback

Not small, he's a scatback

Another south Florida scatback(McKenzie's size) that has garnered Alford's attention is Richard Yeargin's teammate Sam Bruce.(#6). Only a sophomore, Bruce leads University in receptions. Youngest member of the south Florida Expres(7 on 7), I wouldn't be surprised to see Sam invited to a dog and pony show like the Opening as a Junior. Another University prospect that Notre Dame should be making a scholarship offer is the defensive end opposite Yeargin - Nikolas Bonitto(#35). Only an 8th grader, Nikolas, at 6'3", 210lbs, is also one of the best basketball prospects in the nation. Bruce, by the way, will be playing point for University.

Sam Bruce has also stated in interviews he is not leaving Florida.
Never say never. Include University's Roger Harriott in the summer high school coaching clinics. Nice Notre Dame stratagem to get his players a comfortable extended visit. Like Aquinas and American Heritage, University should become a frequent stop for the Notre Dame staff.

ND still hasn't received the test scores and hasn't officially accepted his commitment. ND and McKenzie expect to receive his test score on Thursday at which point he'll officially be part of the class.

Loy translation: I have to stick to my guns, because I was an idiot/tool bag.

Seriously, let's not post any more "info" from Loy on McKenzie. He is committed. The verbal was accepted. The end. His eventual ADMITTANCE as part of this class is contingents on academics/scores.

How asinine do you have to be to say a "verbal" doesn't count when both sides want each other? THAT'S ALL A VERBAL IS.
