I don't know what we are going to do here once Jimmymac graduates as far as having someone be the eyes and ears on campus with the information...With that said, I propose that everyone pitch in $10 to the "Jimmymac 'Van Wilder' Fund" to keep this man on campus. 27,418 members x $10 = $274,180...Stretch your last years out a little bit and keep hitting us with info...

After II spoke to Mr. Bryant, Damefan apparently posted this on the Bang Bang Facebook group:

That petulant attention whore gets no sympathy or benefit of the doubt here. He has crowed about having inside info and been wrong pretty often lately.

Winner. That turd surfaces on II every now and then and spouts shits. Half the board would follow him over a cliff and the other half knows he a ****ing moron.

He's nothing but a rumor-mongerer. Sampson and Brown need to sac up and ban him from that board.

He's like Epitome, except that he won't go away.

I wasn't trying to defend the guy as much as just pointing out what he did and didn't say yesterday.

Also just so everyone is on the same page here, part of the reason player retention is so difficult at ND (outside of the normal reasons people give) is that unlike SEC schools we don't have "fixers." At least I'm pretty sure we don't. Fixers are there to take care of the guys when they're feeling down or frustrated or what have you. Simply put, it's a lot easier to get guys to be 'content' with waiting their turn when you can pay them to stay put. Heck, sometimes coaches even cut out the middle man:
"I had no clue what it was about because I'd never directly asked him for anything," McNell said. "He slid about $400 over to me. He went into a drawer and gave me money and said, 'Is this enough? Is this good?' And I said, 'Yeah, I'm good.'"

That's Will Muschamp at Auburn. And this isn't even touching on academic fixers who take care of bad grades, etc. to take that stress off of kids. I can think a good number of non-athletes who couldn't handle ND and transferred... think about how much there is for a student athlete in a revenue sport to deal with on a day to day basis?

So people really think his dad saying Its rumors means he is staying....

Not saying that it's the way it will end up BUT his father was certainly the one who was sold on the Irish early on. He loved the academic side of things. With Greg's recent tweet about getting a B and coach Alford going out of his way to congratulate him probably keeps the father in our corner. That by no means is a prediction for Greg staying, but it puts somebody else in our corner that is outside of the program.

Not that I'm Damefan's biggest fan or anything (I'm not...For the life of me...I can...NOT read that blog of his...even though I like ellipsis...not that much!), but I know he gets some good, direct info. He knew about Vanderdoes before pretty much anyone else. I know this not because I ever saw where he said something about it first, but because I was there when he found out about Eddie. (First time I meet the guy, and I get this knowledge bomb dropped on me. Oh joy.)

Anyways, while I can't stand how Damefan does his blog either, he does have some real sources and information, and some of you guys are really putting him on full blast which I sorta understand, but at the same time, I think should be knocked off.

Just throwing that out there. Take what I say as strongly or as lightly as you wish.

During Chris Stewart's frosh year, he was thinking about transferring and went home to think things over but his parents straightened him out and sent him right back to ND. Hopefully GB was just a bit homesick and frustrated and now has things figured out or it's just an elaborate prank by GB on JMac.

Wasn't that the same thing that happened with Darrin Walls and Gary Gray too?

I hate trying to catch up on 3 pages of a thread, but here it goes.

I don't know about you guys, but I can't wait to do this all over again during the off-season!!!

It won't take that long. There is always a conspiracy.

Quotes aren't subject to copyright, and can be posted without fear of reprisal from II. Feel free to repost the original quote if you'd like, IM8.

Thanks. I wan't sure of the specifics, it's been a while since there was anything posted on here about it.

GB seems like the type of guy that wears his emotions on his sleeve. He probably is very frustrated and is spouting off about transferring. Hopefully it is an all talk no action situation. I would love to see him stick it out and have he and TF have awesome Irish careers.

I believe it was Jimmymac who stated earlier that he was making comments to others in his dorm along the lines of 'this is why I shoulda went somewhere else'

In fairness... Damefan never said anything about Greg specifically... our base just assumed.

He had a tweet up earlier responding to someone and said 'remember I said backfield, but I never said it was necessarily offensive'

Not that I'm Damefan's biggest fan or anything (I'm not...For the life of me...I can...NOT read that blog of his...even though I like ellipsis...not that much!), but I know he gets some good, direct info. I understand your take, and while it may be true, aren't you also involved with the TP site with him. So your take isn't necessarily un-bias. Some people just don't like him.

Does anyone have a link to the Bang Bang group. I'd like to stalk it. I can't seem to find it.
