If (if)he's ready to transfer six games into his freshman year then I think things weren't working on multiple levels and a couple dozen more garbage time plays weren't going to salvage the relationship.

Seriously, get that logical-thinking nonsense out of here. We've got speculating and arguing to do.

He sees the Battering Cam and knows he can never match him.

So is Bryant transferring or not? Does anyone have any concrete info or is it simply a subjective thought at this point due to his lack of playing time?

It is hard for highly rated high school players to come in and realize that they are not the best player on the team. They play in an environment in high school where they are the next best thing since peanut butter just to get to college and realize that they aren't as good as they maybe thought they were. At least not yet.

I, for one, think that if a player is unhappy six games into their freshman year, then they probably won't work out in the long run. The work they have to put in to get playing time is maybe more than they want to do... or feel they need to do. There are obvious reasons why Bryant isn't seeing the field and I would suggest either get busy working on those issues that need improving or get busy packing your bags.

So is he injured or not? Was that some smoke screen as the staff tried to patch things up? My guy instinct is to say see ya. As much as I wanted him to be "the guy" here, if you really give up after a few games, that says something. WE STILL HAVE TOMMY!

I haven't seen any concrete info. Here's what I'm going on.

What started this conflagration in this thread is a blogger's tweet that the ND backfield is going to get less crowded soon and he (Damefan, the blogger) will have more Thursday.

People started to put two and two together, since there have been rumors about Bryant being unhappy for a while now.

Jimmymac, a poster here and a current ND student who knows some people on the team and has proven in the past to have reliable info about things going on with the team, posted cryptically in this thread, "he's gone." (Page out of TP's book there, jimmy.)

So that's actually not a lot to go on. Insiders, please reply to this post if you can shed any additional light.

What I don't get is the guy - according to the program anyway - was just diagnosed with a potentially chronic knee injury. I guess he might not see it this way but that would seem to be a bad moment to walk away from a free ride to Notre Dame. He can always still transfer in the spring when he's (hopefully) healthy.

it was mentioned on here that kelly has used the red shirt to save face in the past.

i just do not get the lack of rational thinking and unjustified obsession with a kid that has been seen taking a whole 5 snaps since being at nd.

yet he is our most complete and deserved his chance.

potential means you ain't worth a sh!t yet!

It would be funny if we blew this all out of proportion and these last 5+ pages become completely (well, even more..) irrelevant.

here's to hoping.

I'm telling you guys your still giving "Damefan" way to much credit. Read his damn blog he does it for views and loves when people talk about him. It's not like a mod leaked this. I'll still wait for confirmation plus it could be Wil Mahone as well reading these last three pages some of you mine jumped off the deep end. Relax

Maybe that Tweet meant the DEFENSIVE backfield is getting crowded and Redfield is gone.

Straight forward enough lol? I'll do naked lap around my dorm if he's in a Notre Dame uniform in 2014. With pics.

So BK says he has this knee injury and some think it was just to cover some things. What if he leaves and the next school sees no issues with his knee whatsoever?

He is gone. That has been pretty well known for a week or so.

Why Thursday as Damefan said? I don't know.

Why Damefan felt the need to tweet out that cryptic tweet earlier? Because he's a douche who wanted hits on his blog.

That's where I'm at in this situation.

Not sure how that would be an issue, at least until he tried to get a medical redshirt to play his fifth year.

Greg Bryant is actually Maurice Clarett wearing a mustache to try to get a 2nd chance in college. He was discovered so now he is disappearing.

If that's true, i blame Kelly and Bryant, the both.

Kelly for not having alternatives. You can move Amir to the Slot, even sacrifice Mcdaniel (a tough guy who deserves his playing time, sure) but you've to make decisions and Bryant is a better player, period. But no, he clearly can not handle this situation. He needs to understand that a five star, especially if he is from Florida, Cali or far away, wants to play right away and you have to "consent" this players. Maybe it's unfair, but this is the way how it works when you have this "diva" type of players. We can not blame Kelly for the Vanderdoes situation, but i think this is his fault in some way. The same with Davonte Neal (who really leaves because of his playing time). You can not play with Robbie Toma over him or with Cam Mcdaniel over Greg Bryant.

He says he has some problems with pass protection/assignments. Really? A guy who his father is a football coach. A guy who come here with a good reputation a blocker. A smart guy who had months to learn the playbook. Alex Collins only played football for two years prior to his college career, come to Arkansas as a poor blocker and now is the best RB as a True Freshman and plays a lot. Man, i'm sure that Bryant is smarter while sleeps than Dyer, Crowell or other TF's who played a lot in his first year. Sounds an excuse to me, if that's what true, why would he leave? He should stay and fix this problem. He clearly thinks he can play.

And Bryant maybe has some nice muscles but maybe his head is soft. All this drama with only a month of competition, frustrating.

I think all parts have some fault. If he leaves, good luck.

What are we waiting for. Lets get this meltdown to his thread then.

I'm just going to assume from now on that every recruit we get from the rivals 250 or 24/7's 247 is going to either decommit or transfer after or during their freshman year...or just not honor their LOI.
