This reeks of AQM.

And Standifer. I think we can just start expecting this year in and year out that we will miss on a guy who would love to be on board because of academic reasons. It sucks but its the reality. Hope he can still get through admissions just so he knows he can if nothing else. "We'll leave the light on for ya!"

From a purely football perspective, he'd probably do better in Holgo's offense than ours. We've gotten very little production out of the slot under Kelly, and McKenzie's size would likely limit him to Z WR and PR.

Tough to get too upset about fading with such a niche prospect.

I think we haven't had anybody that can be spectacular in the slot. Our hope was that Davonte Neal would be the guy, but he's obviously gone now. I think Mack has the same kind of ability that Neal had.

You mean the ND administration has toyed with him? The staff has no control over ND standards

The U of Miami recruiting coordinator requires nothing more for transportation than a bicycle to recruit a top ten competitive football team each and every year. No car, no airline flights to parts unknown, just a bicycle to roam and knock on doors in Dade, Broward, and Palm Beach counties! Notre Dame and Alford, just need to get two or three athletes from this fertile area to make a difference in their efforts to be a top ten contender.

Pretty sure i read that somewhere back in August not sure where

I remember reading that as well, but apparently he got it squared away and is playing for Miami this season. He has 3 tackles and 2 sacks so far.

This is another odd recruitment. I'm not sure the 247 thing means much because on Power Hour this past week, he only mentioned ND, Kentucky, and Rutgers as his visits and really, the only ones he was interested in. Not one mention of WVU in the whole 25 minuted interview. I know he thinks of himself as Tavon, but I don't think he cares that Tavon went to WVU. ND coaches have shown him what they can and do do with smaller players and he likes what they do. Now I tend to agree with what TP is saying with the grade thing, but if it were up to Isaiah, he'd be Irish today. But, there is the grade issue. So we will have to wait this one out.

Side note. If anyone doesn't listen to the Power Hour podcasts, I would highly, highly recommend them. They come out 2 times a week and you can get them for free. One is a a post game recap and analyzing the next game and the other is a recruitment based podcast. Very worth the listen every week. Mike Frank is doing a great job.

I prefer the OFD podcasts myself

Probably a more intelligent analysis of games, but no recruiting info, and more glaringly, they absolutely do not have the personality required of hosts. The number of times the main guy says "uh" and "um" is staggering.

I hope it's UC if it can't be ND.

However, Tubberville is quickly ruining UC in a way I didn't think was possible, so maybe UK then.
