The longer this plays out he better IMO. Can't see either Ole Miss or Vandy going better than 8-4.

It will be interesting to see how much a say his father has because he obviously prefers ND and Vandy to Ole Miss or any other school he is considering

He's clearly struggling with the decision to take the Ole Miss money or not. Are the italics even necessary??

I just don't get how you could seriously be considering ND-Vandy or Ole Miss. We're talking polar opposites in many ways.

Agreed. It seems to me that if that's your top three, then there are only two realistic options. Of course, that's just my take on it. Who knows what he might see in Ol Mi$$.

Treadwell and the perks of a SEC booster program. lol

Nah, I mean from everything I have heard he is Vandys to lose. I think that ND will continue to be mentioned as was with Treadwell bc of proximity.

I'm not counting on landing any Core6 kids in the near future.

Really sick of Ole Miss, think it's obvious there is something fishy going on there. They're never gonna be a top tier SEC team either.

From what I've been told in the past we wouldn't want him on our roster anyway. Not an issue of talent or grades.

Lol I tweeted this to Jake Brown when he said he was surprised that we weren't in his Top 6. Core6 favorited my tweet.

Apparently the old Crete-Monee coach (Jerry Verde) hates BK and advised all players to stay away from ND. He recently left and is now at Marian Catholic. Anyone know what this guy's deal is?

Kelly doesn't give him kickbacks is my guess, so his cornhole is sore.

Good Metro Chicago program that is in Notre Dame's backyard. In 2012, Notre Dame was interested in defensive back Anthony Standifer. After Yuri Wright's foolishness with words, Standifer became a serious target for Notre Dame. But, for whatever reasons(comfort, academics, playing time) he choose Ole Miss. Same goes for the 2013 offer to receiver Laquan Treadwell. He also choose Ole Miss(Is there a pattern here?). Whether Nyles Morgan shows interest or not, Notre Dame will continue to extend offers to talented Crete Monee players. Treadwell's younger brother Juawan, will soon receive interest, and perhaps an offer from Notre Dame.

FWIW, a couple months ago I was told by a friend of the Morgan family that Nyles loved Ole Miss. He loved ND coaches and football program but ND (campus and academics) just wasn't a good fit for him. His father is pushing hard for ND, and so is the rest of the family. If not for his father, he'd already be committed to Ole Miss.

I agree Core 6 stinks, but IMO, they had nothing to do with this one.

We couldn't get Standifer in. Academic issues ... Foreign language and possibly other problems. He really liked ND late in the cycle and would have signed with us if we could have gotten him past admissions.

Can't help but wonder whether Treadwell and Morgan's recruitments might have been different if Standifer had ended up Irish.

It's crazy to think about.

Sounds like Papa Morgan got in his ear...The reality is though, he has a top 6 but hasn't closed the door. That's good news.

I apologize for the sudden change but I do not have a top 6 anymore. I feel it is too early to start narrowing down a life decision just yet

I still think we get a visit. Not sure we can keep him from Vandy or Ole Miss but think we get a visit and give ourselves a chance.

We will probably not bring him in, but he is probably the linebacker I want the most in this class.

Apparently looking to visit ND again this fall. That's at least what his dad told Wiltfong. I have said for a long time that Morgan's "interest" in ND was really his dad's interest but we shall see.

Taking into account what Wiltfong said earlier and this update I agree completely. Its his dad's interest in ND and his son's interest is some place else.

He lives an hour from campus and hasn't been on campus in how long? But yet seems to visit Ole Miss and Vandy monthly. That's how interested he is.
