Would be a great guy to land considering the DT depth. I dont think itd scare Holley of Elam away either.

I know there have been reports that UCLA has a big lead, but I have a really good feeling about this one. I wouldn't be surprised if we are named his leader or get a commitment shortly after his visit. IIRC, he wants to make a decision before the season starts.

Anna Hickey tweeted a couple hours ago he was in Chicago so I assume he's arrived on South Bend by now

Does Loy have info on this or is this a hunch/opinion? Because ISD reported before his visit that he wanted to make a end of summer decision.

Loy didn't say a timeline, IMO he was speaking more from a big picture perspective. Early in the visit, long way from signing day, etc. "It's early and UCLA will be tough to beat but notre dame rolled out the red carpet."

Remember when we were all happy that UCLA was improving and recruiting better so SC would suffer? Yeah that sentiment didn't last very long

TJ compared Dickerson and Holley on the II board earlier today.

Dickerson and Holley are similar players in some respects, but different in some ways, too. Holley probably has more positional flexibility across the line, though his full-time dedication to football now projects an Inside guy moreso (DT/NT) in time with enough athleticism to swing outside (3-4 DE) as needed. Dickerson projects more to the Inside (DT/NT) regardless of front, especially in a scheme (when we use it) going more "classic two-gap." We'd certainly be interested in the opportunity to have both if it worked out that way.

So he's a 3-4 NT and 4-3 DT for us, not DE at all? I like this. Get depth there and go all out for Holley or Elam then.
