In Austin tonight, having an Austin Beerworks Fire Eagle IPA. Really hoppy. I like.
Weihenstephaner is my favorite; doubt you'll find better. Whatever yeast strain the Germans use makes a big difference; most American wheat ales pale in comparison.
If you like the style (it's one of my favorites), be sure to try a few weizenbocks. Weihenstephaner Vitus and Schneider Weisse Tap 6 Unser Aventinus are both amazing.

I'll keep my eye out for those.
Dragoon IPA in a growler. Outstanding west coast IPA.
Very nice. Is it available in bottles as well?
Nope. Pretty much just on tap in Tucson. They have a tap room with limited hours as well.
Next time I am in Tucson I will look for it.

Found this beer last week and just got around to drinking it tonight...you weren't kidding about the hops! Holy F! I thought I liked hops and bitter but this is ridiculous.
Also, had Weihenstephaner at dinner. Real good beer. Felt like a total douche b/c I had no idea how to pronounce it.
Stone IPA
. I love Stone IPA, a very good regular IPA that is readily available. If you want an easy to find but good American Hefeweizen, I would suggest Sierra Nevada Kellerweis. Not as good as the ones that Whiskey Recommended but it is readily available, reasonably priced and still very good.
I did some work for a buddy gratis, but he insisted on paying me something. Just received it in the mail:

Will be my first experience with Balcones and corn whiskey. Have you tried it before, pkt?
Whiskey I have not tried that whiskey. I would like to hear what you think about it after you open it though.
