Personally, disagree. Barring injury, I think it is the Tommy and Andrew show this year.

That's ideal, but I think Malik will be forced to play. Tommy is not a big strong guy and has a history of getting nicked up, not so much injured, but still. And with the style Hendrix plays, it could happen any play. He takes (and delivers) big hits.

This is how I THINK it will go down.

Offense
QB - Zaire - Redshirt
RB - Bryant & Folston - Both Play
WR - Fuller & Hunter - Redshirt; Robinson & Onwualu - Both Play w/ Onwualu mostly on ST and Robinson in red zone packages.
TE - Heuerman & Smythe - Both Redshirt
OL - I think the coaches would like them all to redshirt, but Elmer may be needed and Bivin may play his way into the lineup (I am really high on Bivin).

Defense
DL - Matuska - Redshirt; Rochell - I think he probably redshirts but I wouldn't be surprised if he played his way into the rotation.
LB - Smith - Plays; I think Deeb and Randolph will "blow" their redshirts playing on ST.
DB - Butler & Kinlaw - Redshirts; Redfield & Luke will "blow" their redshirts playing ST. Redfield may see significant minutes on defense in 2nd half of the season.

Edit:
Summary
Redshirts (12) - Zaire, Hunter, Fuller, Heuerman, Smythe, Montelus, McGovern, McGlinchey, Matuska, Rochell, Butler, Kinlaw
Plays beyond Redshirt requirement (11) - Bryant, Folston, Robinson, Onwualu, Elmer, Bivin, Smith, Randolph, Deeb, Redfield, Luke

QB - Malik will definitely play, most likely in special packages. Tommy can't be the lone starter or the offense becomes too 1-dimensional and easy to defend. Need more dimensions to the offense, and Malik needs experience for next season.

WR - Fuller might end up seeing time in the slot, but Folston could as well. Depends on what Kelly wants out of both. Corey and J-Wu both play, but moreso than what you believe. They're already in the 7-man rotation in my opinion. J-Wu will be the back-up slot to Prosise (also played RB, has great speed and is incredibly powerful). Robinson will back-up Daniels most likely. He can catch anything and runs really good routes, pretty much Daniel Smith with more speed and a bigger threat catching the ball.

TE - Smythe will almost certainly RS, but I think Heuerman plays. Unless, barring some miracle, Welch has completely caught up and stays healthy. Heuerman also presents a different style of TE that ND doesn't have since they lost Eifert.

OL - Elmer plays LT behind Martin, and Bivin backs up the other Martin at C, and also backs up at either Guard position.

DL - Matuska RS's. Rochell will definitely play, because of the loss of Vanderdoes and the injury to Hounshell. Backs up Day this season.

LB - Smith not only plays, but destroys offenses. Randolph is moving to ILB, so it looks like he'll redshirt. Deeb might redshirt, but if he impresses in fall, he will be used in the rotation at LB, and ST.

DB - Redfield and Luke will be huge on defense from the beginning. Redfield will start at Nickel and also see time at FS behind Farley. Luke will back up B-Jax.

Sorry to derail Deeb's thread more but I will bet anyone all my vbucks (not much) that barring injury Zaire doesn't play. We are still looking to go to a BCS game, this isn't a cut our losses and built torwards 2014 year.

Some of those I agree with but I don't think Bivin will be the backup to Nick Martin. I think Hegarty will be the #2 Center. Not sure if Bivin will find his way into the 2 deep at either guard position but I don't think so at center. IMO Andrew will be the #2 behind Tommy and Malik will only play if Tommy and/or Andrew get hurt. If Amir doesn't take the starting RB spot, then I think he will likely be in the mix at slot with CJ. Folston could end up 3rd string there, at least this season. I think Smythe might be more physically ready to play than Heureman. Mike looked pretty small in the last picture I saw of him but he may have bulked up a lot since then. Either way, not sure they will be needed this year. We have Hercules, Koyack, and Welch. I think 3 TE's is enough when you also have guys like Robinson and Davaris who are big-bodied receivers and then a big guy like Cbreezy in the slot. Not so sure that Luke will be in the 2 deep right away. But I think he plays. I think the backups will be Jalen Brown and Lo Wood. At least to start the season but as we all know, things can change during the season. Injuries can really force players into action. That could happen in the pre-season like last year.

Here's a thought: Did Kelly institute a schematic on how to set up your locker? Seems sloppy to me.

Kelly actually did institute a locker plan soon after his arrival citing locker disarray as a lack of discipline. One of his first steps in righting the ship.

I suspect Deeb was setting up his locker as the freshman recently arrived (are arriving). The shoebox to the left of his locker isn't S.O.P. nor is the single shoe on the right.

I took elation being shared as the essence of that photo at being there, in the moment, with the hallowed gear that is now his.

I didn't view it as ready for inspection. But it will be shortly.

Yeah I see this as "Woo Hoo I am finally here."
Well Mr. Deeb. Lets go find Mr. Longo and get you pushing tractor tires uphill.

I know I've seen it or one where he is doing the same thing before but I couldn't find it on Google Images. He might have tweeted it or posted it on Instagram. Reps and vbucks

Damn Butler is more jacked than I thought. Bryant is actually pretty skinny.

There is a picture in Bryant's thread where he looks absolutely jacked. So, when I saw this picture of Deeb standing beside him, I was shocked. Deeb looks to have the size and strength to play right away.

If Deeb was 2-3 inches taller, he would have been a 5* recruit IMO.

He plays with speed, seems to have good instincts, and plays 'tough'.
