Someone mentioned Saban convinced Sarborough to switch to WR. I wouldn't count on him going to UA until he signs though. Doesn't sound like he's 100%.

Bo is pretty solid. He just transferred schools in order to play with a passing QB in order to get more reps at WR. I would be surprised if he goes somewhere else.

Interesting, the article I read about his transfer said the reason was academics...I'll trust you on this one :)

I'm confident you know more about Bama recruiting than I do, but I thought I read where he put the % of his UA commitment at 50%. I can't find that anywhere now but did find that he said he was a solid 9 out of 10 and is still taking visits. In my mind, that's not 100% and, as a ND fan, I'm pretty sure we'd all be freaking out if Hood (or any recruit) said he was solid and continued to take visits.

He went from Northridge to Tuscaloosa County. Both are public 6A classification schools. If it were academics he would still be ineligible. TC brought in a transfer QB from another school who is a pocket passing QB. Bo has been a Tide commit since early his junior year so any talk of him backing out is probably just that. In the end who knows... these kids probably change their minds daily.

I didn't mean he was academically ineligible. I should have been more specific. Here's the article I read: Tide commit Bo Scarbrough on transferring to rival high school: 'I want to better myself academically' | al.com

Scabrough said he believes he can get a better education at Tuscaloosa County, a rival school in Northport that sits less than eight miles away from Northridge.

"I want to better myself academically," said Scarbrough, who is ranked No. 4 on AL.com's A-List of the top rising senior prospects in the state. "I can't play football for rest of my life, but I can have a degree for the rest of my life."

Scarbrough took part in Tuscaloosa County's practice Tuesday and said he will move into the school zone on Friday.

"It's really not a big deal because I'm not there for football reasons," he said. "I want to help the team, but I'm really there for the academics. I'm trying out for County High football and I'd love to help them by playing any position they want me to play."

I think that's the politically correct answer. The fact that Saban asked him to switch to WR and then he moves to the county school... who just so happened to get a passing QB transfer makes more sense to me. Plus TC's academics isn't really that much better than Northridge. Will be interesting watching it play out as his transfer has a lot of people scratching their heads.

Really playing down that LSU and Bama are the favorites and really playing up his interest in Michigan and Texas....

Sonny Shipp from the LSU 247 site said in response that, "there may be a couple of schools that will make fans worry but Texas and Michigan should not be them."

Agree. The general consensus is that it is a two horse race here. And the winner wins big. Fournette is a game changer.

Working with the premise that Fournette goes to Alabama and is as good as advertised. Whats your feedback on who transfers or plays another position? Kamara, Tenpenny, T. Jones, and D. Henry. Then you have Fournette coming in this year. Just read an article yesterday that Henry had a very good spring at RB, so a position change for him doesn't seem likely now.

Out of that group I would say Jones either transfers or goes to another position. Maybe Kamara as well. Henry is the question mark as far as RB goes. He is huge and it will be interesting to see how he translates on the college football field. He looked good until his broken leg happened. I like our chances with Fournette. Scarborough goes to receiver and can be used at RB as well if needed. I think we lose Roc Thomas to Auburn however.

I have to believe there are going to be some upset kids when they aren't getting their touches over the next year or two. The winner is Bama, which is a good thing being a fan.

Currently visiting USC and Scott Schraeder reported that Marcus Allen was talking to him and watching film with him.

Is that within the rules? Don't hear often of former players pretty much acting like recruiters.

If they just happen to be there...this happens all the time.

Another advantage of being located in, say, Los Angeles instead of South Bend. Marcus Allen's far more likely to be in the neighborhood.
We had recruits on campus the weekend of that fantasy camp/old-timers game a few weeks back, right? I'd imagine a few got to chat up Rocket Ismail. Would certainly hope so.

If they know Marcus, there's a good chance they know Rocket.

Guys who come up for officials can see plenty of big time alum at ND.

Yeah...like he could run into someone like Jerome Bettis (who last played in 2005 and is 6th all-time in NFL rushing). Marcus last played in 1997 (12th all-time). The kid might have been one when Marcus played last.

"I haven't scheduled any official visits just yet," he said. "I might try and go up and visit Michigan though. I want to check them out and see everything there."

God have mercy!!

See the post before yours...... same gif applies.

IMO LSU has nothing to worry about here. Just waiting for the day until I come on the site and it says LSU verbal

I wonder why he didn't run the 40? Maybe not as fast as he'd like to be?

Fournette has every intention of looking at possibilities outside of LSU.

I think LSU ends up getting Fournette simply because everyone else that he may prefer will be full at RB.

Does it matter if they're full, though? I can't imagine anyone would tell them no, even if they've met their RB needs for the class.
