The Opening has him playing WR. He flip flops on preference. Don't think it's a big deal really in his recruitment.

Plantation (Fla.) American Heritage WR Isaiah McKenzie released a top 5: #NotreDame, #WVU, #Rutgers, #Cincinnati and #Kentucky. Irish lead.

Has he expressed if he is waiting on any other big offers since ND has offered?

I think he is playing this process out rather intelligently. I expected him to choose ND rather quickly, but with the delay, I think he is illustrating his confidence that he should be a D1 big prospect and more offers are likely.

When all is said and done, I hope he makes the best decision for himself and his family, and that it's ND.

Not in that report but yesterday Tom Loy said he had academic issues but it expects them to be resolved

Doesn't have any other visits scheduled yet, would like to visit Cincinnati, Rutgers, then WVU, and finally Kentucky. WVU recruiting him the hardest, he will decide before senior year. ND wowed him, we have everything he is looking for, not sure what it will take to supplant us, but it would take a whole lot. Only reason he isn't Irish already is because he just wants to be absolutely sure, when he commits he will shut evrything down. Since we offered, he has received a lot of interest from Florida schools with the exception of UF, but he doesn't think any are particularly close to offering. Rutgers is only school recruiting him on defense.

So within the next 2 months he should be Irish unless something goes wrong?

Unless there is something to the academic situation, that is what it sounds like to me. The article sounds like he is saying, he is just being sure, but he really loves ND.

Why he doesn't have more offers baffles me. I'd be happy to steal him out of Florida.

It should get resolved per Loy. But with recent history with admissions, you never know

Ummm, what are you talking about? The films, obviously. How am I contradicting myself??? I like mckenzies film. His explosion is apparent, I personally didn't like bonnets. I can't like one players film but not like anothers? I didnt say snything about bonners offers, only his film.

You literally make zero sense.

But since you bring up offers, one of the paid reporters said mckenzie had many more offers than anyone knows about, but he doesn't care to tell people. Surprised you didn't know that since you're such a guru.

Those offes were Michigan and the other ones currently listed. His offer list was updated by the services when Notre Dame became interested.

I seldom post because I see no reason for being in the spotlight.--FYI,McKenzie is a Silent
Commit to ND,subject to getting 100% approved by ND Admissions.--How do I know this?-
because I am very close long-time friends with 2 of the top persons in ND Admissions.---
am also long-time,personal friends with several of the ND FB coaches.---McKenzie,if ND,would
be the fastest, most agile player on the entire team.He ran 2 consecutive 4.34/40's at ND and
when Coach Alford informed him of his official ND offer,he proceeded to do a 100% back-flip
which completely shocked Coack Alford,so much so that he then did a 2nd complete back-flip.
Coach Alford laughed so hard that he was down on1 knee-------McKenzie,if ND,would probably
become one of the fastest.most agile ND FB players since the great Rocket Ismail, many yrs.
ago----and those of you who say "he is only a 3 star",I say to you forget the Rivals Rating and
any other ratings because Rivals is 100% wrong on this,as are any other so-called experts who have
him ranked low.

First of all, nobody hurt yourselves patting yourselves on the back! This kind of makes sense about McKenzie.

Two things that I keep hearing. We are getting a lot of lifelong fans that worked for the offer. I personally think this is culture plus Kelly. Yes they are lifelong fans, but Kelly over the last ten years has an incredible record of players that move on to the NFL. AND, not just get drafted. His marginal players outperform their best estimates.

Second; the freaks. We are getting an inordinate number of players that are both off the radarish, and freakishly athletic. Tuitt wasn't off the radar, but name another big man that can "run with the db's!" Clowney? I am not too sure. Cause by my count we have Prince, Romeo Okwara, James Onwualu, and Corey Robinson, all that were really undervalued, and freakish in terms of performance. We also have KeiVarae Russell, Troy Niklas, Sheldon Day, Louis Nix, and Mathias Farley, that have either adapted to a completely different position and excelled, or outperformed everyone's wildest expectations, or both!

Here's to Bonner and McKenzie being the next two to add to the list.

Measured at 5'7 168 at ND this weekend per Loy

I had a friend who once compared McKenzie to Glades Central Will Likely. Kids who never leave the field for their HS programs, yet get overlooked because of the eyeball test(5'7"height) employed by evaluators. In Alford, ND could not have enlisted a better Florida recruiter. Now if Kerry Cooks can get the attention of some of the Texas targets.

I wonder if this is one of the said backflips

Don't call me out for being "contradicting" then back pedal out of it.

Unless I missed it, he didn't back pedal out of anywhere.

Explain why I was being "contradictory" by liking mckenzies film while not liking bonners??

He also didn't specify you being contradictory about those two specific players but contradictory in a general sense with your posts. He's not wrong about that.

I've said over and over I'm no expert, but everyone is entitled to their
Opinion on film
. But contradictory? Still waiting our explanation.

While technically true, some should keep it to themselves.

And FYI - I'm a business analyst for an insurance company, I'm not employed by signingday.com. I occasionally spoke to them about future features. But that has absolutely nothing to do with anything.

Cool story.

Sorry to get this off topic, but TP, you can't call someone out without anything to base it on. If you showe how I contradicted myself by personally liking one recruits film over another's, I want to hear it.

Again, he didn't specifically point out those two players but you keep narrowing to those two.

Ah, the famous, mythical Silent. I've heard of those. I continue to seek physical proof like that of Bigfoot.

I wonder if this is one of the said backflips

If you look closely on the left side of the frame, you can see a shadow of a man down on 1 knee, that's Coach Alford laughing hysterically.

I would love for this random poster to be correct.

I hope so. He got a congrats tweet after his visit that was peculiar too. So it wouldn't shock me. It would certainly be prudent to wait until admissions cleared before announcing publicly. Evidenced by several players that have committed in recent years before clearing and ending up with egg on their face. Smart kid that is silly talented. I could give not two $hits what his offers are, his stars or what others think. When I watch this kid on his film, I see electricity in motion. I will be very excited to see how he ends up, regardless of whether he end up at Notre Dame.

Btw, I showed his film to my scUM buddy and he was blown away. He is still holding onto hope that the season works in a way that gives them a shot down the road. I obviously told him to get ____ed, but it was cool to see someone that usually dogs on kids that are ND leans be so excited about McKenzie.
