He's saying August 23rd but he recently told rivals that even if he does commit there is a good chance that he takes official visits in the fall. So basically he wants to hold a spot. If we offer we can at least push for an official. Clemson, VT, UNC, Mayrland, and South Caronlina are the schools he seems the most interested in.

We should have offered Jesse Aniebonam.

This.

He also told the Washington Post he plans to visit ND before deciding. I don't think we would have to play catch up too much. He is Mustipher's teammate and really wants the offer.

Good Counsel’s Jesse Aniebonam, Darius Fullwood continue to pile up offers

Aug. 23? Why? Why not the 24th or the 22nd?
Why do kids self-impose these specific but meaningless arbitrary deadlines? One of the (many) things about recruiting I don't get.

He is announcing on ESPN so that must be the date that they have open. He said that if he is comfortable in his decision and ESPN has an opening sooner it may come before then. That is the last possible date.

I'm curious where ya'll are seeing AW stating he doesn't want to play in a 3-4? I agree that we have a better shot at Yeargin, and the staff may see the writing on the wall as exhibited by the offer/commit turnaround by Bonner.

Call me delusional but I still think we have a shot here. We need to get his parents on campus. I just haven't read anything from any site that gives a definitive leader. AW has been everywhere... Yet he doesn't have any crystal ball predictions up, not even the obligatory shot in the dark.

Say what you want but this guy is doing his homework on programs. I can definitely respect that.

Top 3-5 will be Clemson, Auburn, ND, OL Miss? and ???... Noles? USCwest?

He told Rivals he was leaning torwards playing in a 4-3. He told 247 days later he didn't care.

When he returns with his mother all will be well. This thread reminds me of when so many thought we lost Hood to NC. I still feel good about this one.

He has no plans to do so though....

He said he would visit in the spring - cancelled
He said he would visit in June - cancelled

I hope you're right but I don't see it happening.

Interesting that the activity increases with the new commit and the interest from the #1 in the nation, (at the position.)
