I am not at ease with him being "completely committed". The way he talked about Cam Cameron & how close he was to him worries me. The way I read it, if it weren't for a 15 hour drive, he'd be going to LSU. I hope I'm wrong, but I could see ole Les working overtime to get him to flip to LSU. Partly because of his athletic ability, but mainly to repay ND for the Keil fiasco, I think the coaching staff at LSU pulling out all the stops.

Per 247, LSU is right in the mix for in-state dual threat QB Brandon Harris. 247 actually has him ranked as the top dual threat quarterback. I see where you're coming from but if they land Harris, I think we won't have anything to worry about

Love the small touch with his tie.

Do you really believe that the head coach of a top-tier program (or any FBS school for that matter) would recruit a kid as a means of revenge? Come on...

Word here in Bama is that Auburn is expecting Harris to commit to them. The "Gus Bus" has been sitting in front of his house for a while waiting on him. He may be waiting on the "bag man" and not the bus driver.

Saw a bunch of LSU guys actually talking about going after Dawkins hard if Harris goes to Auburn. Ahhh, the QB dominoes.

Les doesn't have a great QB history. Either jail, NFL busts, or hanging out with the honeybadger.

I think Coach Martin rubs a lot of these kids the wrong way because he doesn't tend to their needs like most of these recruiters do. That is his style of coaching so it is probably better to be upfront with kids that "this is how I'm going to be if you come here," than treat a kid like he is god, then he shows up for camp and is like who the hell is this guy.

If true, then Martin would be a terrible recruiter at Ole Miss.

Man, it's crazy how quickly the QB dominoes start to fall. Once Allen fell, we were EXTREMELY lucky to have a guy like Kizer so interested in ND that he didn't mind the late offer. Usually these relationships are nurtured over quite a long time, and we dodged a bullet by getting such a talented player in such a short period of time...

This kid could develop into something special. He definitely has a high ceiling.

But with those glasses on he looks like Steve Urkel!

Brandon Harris (LSU QB TARGET)met Kizer on the recruiting circuit and had nothing but good things to say about him after he made his commitment.

"An absolutely fantastic guy," Harris said. "One of the best human beings I have ever met. When he walks on Notre Dame's campus, he'll make them better, I truly believe it."

This is what I have heard from multiple sources that really have known the kid for a long time.

Makes sense. Need to fill out that roster. Think it is a great move to wait for a late bloomer.

I am not sure that is coming form Kizer. I would think that is what the coaching staff told Kizer.

FYI, Zach Darlington just committed to Nebraska, A QB OSU wanted. Both LSU and OSU want Brandon Harris who might end up at Auburn. Interesting to see if one contacts Kizer.

Tommy Mister, Jalen Greene, and Randall Cunningham are names that come to mind for a lower rated QB.

I would be very, very, very suprised if DeShone budged. He comes across as an exceptionally good kid.

Would be really interesting to see what Ohio State does. They also might just pass on a QB... Braxston Miller has 2 years of eligibility left and will take them (needs to develop as a passer). Then you have JT Barrett and Cardale Jones with 4 years remaining coming into this season. If you pass on a QB, then in 2014 you have 3 QBs (plus any walkons, etc. I don't know about)... and you wouldn't expect a true frosh to contribute anyways... and in 2015 you have you'd have 2 + 2015 recruits.

If there isn't someone they really like in this class, I don't really think they have to take one because they will be at 3+ QBs until they hit 2015 regardless. The fact that they didn't offer Kizer yet shows that they either: A) Don't like him enough or B) Feel really confident about getting back in late with him if necessary.

Hopefully it is A or Kizer has completely shut it down... either works. From reports around when they offered Allen it seems like there was at least serious interest from some coaches on OSU's staff.

I thought the Urban Legend was going to shut the state of Ohio off to the rest of the country when it came to recruiting. He is losing several top recruits to other schools and I have to say I love it.

Not that I'm particularly worried about Kizer - he seems like a very solid kid - but I'd feel better if OSU had a QB in this class, or if Kizer had already been offered by them and chosen us instead (like Jaylon last year).
Urban Meyer can be persuasive. And, especially in the likely scenario that they have a better year than we do, I could see him sweeping in with a big offer this fall. Some kids would go for that.

Article on 11warriors really made it seem like they don't expect Ohio State to be able to get back in the race for Kizer even if they wanted to and have a number of other options to be "patient" with before they would even try to.

So at least there is that.
