I understand the whole not sleeping thing. I have defended my thesis this week as well as presenting my other thesis and having another presentation as well as another paper this week. As far as Arnold, I feel as though he gives some decent insight. Recruiting has not been his game, though I feel as if that was his primary job he would do much better.

I say they just hire TP and get it over with. Haha

Ya man I worked till 4 last night and was up at 7:30 for class this morning. Still haven't got any shut eye, got to be in for work at 7. It's hard being a college kid these days! I agree hire TP but TP is busy

Dude, I'll give you a break because you're tired then LOL. Arnold is a fantastic reporter, but recruiting isn't his thing, so of course he's late to the party.

And Hansen is fantastic as well. He writes great stuff. Again, not a recruiting animal and he'll be the first to admit that (and that's why he always interviews Wiltfong and Lemming for his recruiting news), but I love the articles he puts out. The SB Tribune is lucky to have him.

Now get some sleep dude!

I don't mind Hansen and have his app on my phone so I read it from time to time. But I don't think he would fit Sapp's job because of the recruiting thing. Mostly 24/7 is all recruiting especially with Sapp. That's why I believe he wouldn't be a good fit.

Everyone just ignore my rant GB is tired son of a gun.

There was speculation as to why UNC 247 reporter Tom Loy was in the football offices of Notre Dame earlier in Hood's thread but now Wiltfong just posted that Lou Somogyi (ND 247 Senior Editor) was with him. I think that all but assures that Loy is a candidate for the job.

He's a blogger, not a 'sports journalist', running a site all by himself while holding down a nice full-time job that I assure you keeps him very busy.

Pretty harsh criticism---not really sure what you expect from someone in that position.

Ha, the announcement on BGI makes it sound like he got the job because he was able to recognize Elijah Hood when he saw him on BK's balcony on campus while he was in town for his BGI interview. Doesn't Tom cover UNC recruiting? He'd better know who Elijah Hood is. Not sure I get why that story is supposed to make me believe he's a great recruiting reporter.

Not that I think it's a bad hire. I'm sure he'll do a great job.

He's so excited and passionate about BlueandGold that he's going to continue to run the CarolinaBlue site.

I'm having visions of Southern Cal's Athletic Director announcing ND games. Hayden was a professional football announcer/analyst but his passion obviously wasn't in South Bend.

staff lied to him, he'll end up getting switched to LB and transfer back to CarolinaBlue after a year to play RB.

How are ppl liking Loy? I like his prospect features, hes had pretty good source info on EV and Golson, and he answers questions but he doesn't seem to notice new offers reported on Twitter, if their is no article on McGraw's offer today that will have been 6 straight prospects to recieve offers and their to be no update. Wiltfong and the new features will probably keep me at 247 though

I think his issue is that he isn't full time ND... too much split attention. I also think he needs more time to develop relationships with the ND prospects, but I think he'll get there. I do think his plug into ACC country will help in he future when we're looking for updates on guys from Carolinas/Florida. Definitely still a large drop off from Sapp, but I'm hopeful he'll get better. I don't think they would've hired him if he sucked.

I don't really care about new offers... they get reported somewhere and you see it immediately... I can get that without a sub to any site.

I know I'm talking articles about their interest in ND like ISD and Rivals will likely have. For instance Mouhon's offer hasn't been reported on 247 even though he tweeted it. So the Lorenzo Carter stuff hasn't even hit 247 yet because nobody has talked to Mouhon about the ND offer.

True.... good points. I would probably notice this more if I didn't have other subs.
