I saw Warm Bodies last night. It was entertaining. Probably best to wait until it comes out on cable though. Saw Battleship. Pretty dumb but kind of entertaining. Lots of holes in the plot to say the least.

saw "lincoln" and "Side effects" this week.

both are really good. side effects is apparently soderburghs final movie as a director. we'll see. i liked this a lot. pretty formulaic, good twist. rooney mara continues to astound me and for the first time, i didnt mind channing tatum.

lincoln is really good. its wordy. its long. but, it is emotional and important when realizing this wasnt that long ago, and not only are we as a society still dealing with the remnants of the civil war, but new cultural changes we face today. i'm not sure why they have 4 other nominees this year against DDL. its his to lose and he is utterly deserving of another statue.

Watching Flight right now. So far it is very good and Denzel Washington does a great job

Saw A Dangerous Method. It was one of the deepest, most intellectually satisfying movies I ever saw. And the sex wasn't bad either.

Rum Diaries was a disappointment relative to the book. But it was still worth watching. From production to writing, they should have concentrated on a smaller piece of the book. And they should have tried more of a M*A*S*H like technique, (film not book.) But I will watch it again.

I hope its just a long break for him, because despite a few misses i have always enjoyed his movies

I just got the "Red Dawn" remake in the mail. We'll see how it stacks up to the original. WOLVERINES!

Watched Taken 2 this afternoon. It was okay. Just your typical Liam Neeson movie. They didn't really need to make a second movie, I dont really know why they did

just got around to seeing Argo

Watched it on my IPAD Mini flying out to Denver (Argo), and watched Lincoln on the way back. Argo is great! Well rounded movie. Goodman and DuVall added nice touches. Lincoln, great acting, but a little slow for me. Day-Lewis was incredible.

i saw Oz last night. meh.

it doesnt make any sense to me and it's more about spectacle of CGI than storytelling. Oz and the '39 WoO exist on some same plane of existence, but i seriously do not see this as a true "prequel". there are a handful or two of "nods" to the original, but Disney did not have a lot of rights to the original, so there are certain things that are missed or looked over.
my rating for this is "meh".
and as hot as mila kunis is, she's annoying in this.

I watched Djengo tonight, it was pretty good. There was great acting but I wasn't a fan of the last 45 min.-hour of the movie.

Although, the scene below was the one of the funniest movie scenes of have seen in a really long time. I hadn't laughed that hard during a movie since the first time I saw Step Brothers. This scene actually reminds me of some our discussions on IE a bit. Lol

Just watched Alien for the first time. Tremendous lighting/camera angles. Scary **** for a 70s movie.

Watched Sinister about a week ago. I was excited because the previews looked pretty scary. It was a complete let down. Not scary at all. Don't know the last time I've been so disappointed in a movie.

Forgot about Chernobyl Diaries. Far far worse than Sinister. It was a complete piece of ****.

Also saw Oblivion the other night. I was pleasantly surprised by it. Visually cool and good plot with a few twists I didn't see coming.
