I have never seen it out here, but if I do I will grab some.

I was on a job in Georgia and told them to give me something local. It was awesome. I've seen it as far north as South Carolina and loaded up on a couple dozen to hold me over.

I have no knowledge on how far west they distribute but if you see some grab a 6 pack. You probably won't regret it.

Nope, sorry to say that I am in Souther California right now.

Bummer. Been dying to try their Weizenbock, Pilsner and Lager for a while now. One of the few domestic breweries that does justice to German styles.

While we're on the subject, you can add Boulevard and Allagash to the list of breweries I'd love to see distribute to Arizona.

Next time I am in AZ for a non-family event, I will let you know and if you want I can bring you back some of the stuff that makes it out here but not there (it probably won't be till May or June).

Anyone had Terrapin Hopsecutioner? Favorite beer of the moment.

Living in Athens where it is brewed. Cheap here compared to elsewhere. If me and you ever make a real money bet I'll know what to mail you!

Avery IPA. Not bad but nothing special. I would recomend it as an intro to IPAs or if you want something that doesn't challenge you.

Lagunitas SUCKS. Definitely one of the top 5 IPA's I have had. It is definitely the best smelling IPA I have ever put my nose into. Also great tasting

Green Flash Brewing Imperial IPA. I usually like this beer but it is very herbal, and bitter after the Lagunitas SUCKS. I much prefer their Palate Wrecker. Is anyone else drinking?

Sounds like a pu$$y drink. Do Everclear shooters... they'll put hair on your a$$!

When I was in college we would do 10 shots. 9 were vodka and 1 was everclear. You always prayed that the Everclear was towards the end otherwise it burned like crazy.

Not sure if this is mentioned anywhere but I was introduced to this at Spring Break 2010 in Panama City Beach, Florida. If you mix Orange Crush and Pinnacle Whipped Vodka it taste just like a cream pop or cream soda. Best tasting drink that taste nothing like an alcoholic drink.

But currently I am drinking Orange Crush and Rum. Yum

Had some Oskar Blues Old Chub on tap today. I like it from the can but beer is always better on tap.
Also a Victory Storm King Imperial Stout.

Boulder Beer Company's Hazed and Infused. It's just ok in my opinion

I owe Whiskeyjack some reviews of sour ales, so I will be posting a couple over the next few days.

First up is Monk's Cafe Flemish Sour Ale (though it is really brewed by Brouwerij Van Steenberge and the technical name for the beer is Flanders Oud Bruin) 5.5% in to a tullip glass.

N: I get prunes, raisins, slightly sour cherries and apples. Definite smell of acid and funk. Also some yeast and malt. After a minute or two the fruit smells are mostly gone leaving the funk, acid, yeast and malt.

P: Starts rather sweet with raisins, malt and some prunes. Then some of the sour cherries followed by the raisins again. Very interesting mouthfeel, very carbonated and coats the mouth quickly but leaves just as fast.

F: raisins and apple peel with a good malt backbone that quickly overtakes the fruit. Some tart and slightly sour cherry as well. Fades rather quickly with just a slight lingering of malt, cherry and raisin.

Overall an interesting beer but it is not very sour. It would work as a great intro to someone wanting to try sours. Overall I might buy again but not something I feel a need to rush out and rebuy. Rating is 83-86 (I prefer ranges not exact ratings).
