For the record, I have no problem with public displays such as the one above- Love that this kid is as passionate as he is. However, I do find it funny how whenever one of ours does something like this, "he gets it." When one of theirs does something like this they're typical classless buffoons who aren't RKGs and couldn't thrive at ND.

Thats because we are fans of a school/team. We're allowed to be bias because of our fanhood haha

Wish we could get this guy on campus for next year. I think diaco and longo are gonna make this kid very good.

He sees himself as JJ Watt...

Link

Notre Dame and Coach Diaco sees him as a Defensive End in their Defense. Hayes stated, “I think they project me to be the next Tuitt.” At 6’5” 270, Hayes definitely fits the build. To compare, Tuitt was 6’5” 260 out of high school.
Hayes always pictured himself as a Defensive End in Notre Dame’s Defense. “I remember playing myself in the video game. I put myself at number 55 at Defensive End and I would always play myself at Notre Dame,” said Hayes.

We are on pace to have multiple Tuitts: the good. But no Big Lou's: the bad.

I hope we can add at least 3 more to the DL to go with Hayes next class. Whether we do or we don't remains to be seen but starting with Hayes has me very optimistic!

Pic of Hayes chomping on a Michigan sign is good. His size and position is better. His verbal to the Irish is the best.

Always like the big guys, especially on the D-line. Looking fwd to see him suit up for ND.

This isn't the cbs interview, still looking for that one. But I love watching or listening to this kid do interviews and I don't believe this one has been posted. Very well spoken and has that energy about him that I think will make him special at the collegiate level. Its from Nov.

This kid is special and I am so unbelievably happy that he is already on board! After watching that video, I can't believe that he is a high school junior. He carries himself like a veteran college senior in my opinion.

Does anyone know if he plans on enrolling early? With Nix and Tuitt possibly both being gone after next year (although I'm praying that Tuitt sticks around for his senior year), I think Hayes could easily make it into the two-deep his freshman year and it would be great if he could get himself onto campus early for spring practice.

This guy's intelligent. He already has a superior vocabulary in his head and can actively use it. He's going to be a good one not only on the field. Like Big Lou, we'll probably not be able to keep him off camera, but with his personality and smarts, we won't mind.

Welcome to Notre Dame, Big Man.

Agreed. Something interesting that Elston said about Vanderdoes was that they were excited to transform his body. Not actually add weight just get the right weight on him. Less baby fat more man strength. I think the same goes for hayes. I definitely think he could be in the two deep as a freshman provided he works hard in the wieght room.

I was watching the signing day interviews with our early enrollees, and it is striking how articulate and well spoken they all are compared to the typical 18 year old, never mind the typical 18 year old star athlete.

This is absolute truth. They sounded like college seniors or better, not kids in the middle of their senior year of highschool. Totally impressed.

As mentioned, I always enjoy immediately the big guys on the D-line when they join-always. The skill position guys have to grow on me. Not that I don't like them, I do, but I only get excited when they blow up a camp or prove themselves in an All Star game. Now the bigs-siad carraig.

This guy is my favorite for 2014.

Zactly, Mike. Did you notice that he (twice or thrice I think) used double adjectives; descriptors in tandem. One little followed by one big? If this is an adaptation, which I think it is, this shows a brilliance and compassion. Coupled with the light in his eyes when he talked about sacking quarterbacks, we would indeed have a special cat here!
