Biggins also saying that Adams is a solid Cal but if any team can pull him out of Cali is ND. He has only lived in Cali for two years so he doesn't have strong family ties to the region.

Said he loved the trip

Things he liked:
The coaching staff, tradition, atmosphere, playing on tv every game

Things he didn't like:
Campus was OK
Not sure if he wants to be that far from home
Doesn't know if he wants to go to a small school

He is narrowed to four schools: ND, Cal, Oregon, ASU with visits to them all and will announce at the Army All-American Game.

He gone.

Distance was always the factor. If he is still saying that after his visit, he isn't coming here.

Cal could end up pulling in Treggs, Thompson, Adams, B Marshall, McNamara, Shittu, and potentially Armstead.

I could say that most of them don't worry me but the one about being that far from home does. Thats not something you get over in just a night.

I don't think any of us thought we had a chance which is fine. Just thought I would update it anyway. I suppose you never know what may happen, especially with the Cal situation. That man is always on the hot seat.

Firmly in the running per ISD. I would expect if we get Payton we might have a legit shot here. Otherwise I think it will be a Cal vs. ASU battle.

They're both from Oaks Christian correct? That would be a nice snag out of California.

I thought it was pretty much fact that you wouldn't be able to drag this kid out of Cali?

Talked to him via twitter last night. Said he is being recruited to play corner and ND had a very legit shot with him. Loves the tradition and coaching staff, also said he's been consistently running in the high 4.3's when I asked him.

Perhaps the in-home with ND is the reason Marcus Rios didn't have ND at his workout. Maybe things went well with Ishmael?

i was reading yesterday that they were visiting him and saw things went well...and then Rios told me they didn't show...i of course didn't say anything to him but this was my immediate thought!..also treggs had a great visit so we might be saving scholarships for WR'S and other big fish

might be saving just enough time to get burned down the road.

after watching adams video again does anyone else think that adams could make a real good rb in college. the kid is a well built 5'10 slasher at rb with real good speed and has great cutting ability, with ND striking out left and right at rb i think the staff should maybe consider him as a rb option to bring in with mahlon.

I watched some of the replay of the CIF Championship last night between Westlake and Oaks Christian so this opinion is based on just a few quarters of a game on TV.

First of all there was a ton of D1 talent on the field. To me Adams looked very small (not sure if he is 5'10" as listed). He struggled to cover the taller receivers and any jump ball was a struggle. I could see him definitely being a target at the goal line versus taller (6'2" and above receivers).

He has a ton of offers so everyone must feel the other positives out way this size flaw.

Committed to UCLA.

Bruins pulled the stunner on this one, thought for sure he would have picked Cal.

UCLA now has two very, very good corners.

Good for them, now go beat USC.

Very interesting.

Remember how I said none of these guys were Cal "locks"? Yeah....

Seems like Mora is doing a pretty good job at recruiting thus far.

He's made a splash so far, for sure. Unfortunately he lost one of his top recruits to USC this past week (EE JC guy; once USC found out the kid could be an EE they offered him and he basically flipped on the spot). But I think he'll have a good class because he's hired some really good recruiters.

As for Adams, I said on this thread a long time ago, he was never coming to ND. Too far from home, and ND wasn't recruiting him as hard as they were other corners. Not a loss for us; hope he tears it up for UCLA...

I can't wait for UCLA to be important again. That will give USC 1 more week to worry about. I feel like they have treated them like a bye week.
