yep, a USC fan i know here is the same, Seems like the only thing he took from the dozens of hours of media coverage is that Manti is gay :/
Try working with a michigan fan..they still hold tightly that he's gay no matter what factual information I provide..extremely annoying

Is there a link on the infernets for it? I would appreciate it.
Yeah, **** them. But I've often wondered in the past week, how would I have reacted to this story about a star player from, say, Michigan, like Denard Robinson? (just as an example)
Wouldn't I have jumped all over it and lambasted him? I can imagine I would have.
Would I have been as diligent in picking up all the details and information as I have with Manti? How much evidence would it have taken for me to start feeling bad for him?
I would like to think that I, and the fanbase I love, would have come to sympathize and reject this cruelty for what it is... but would it have been too late?
Just a gut check minute.
Now you guys are starting to know what it was like to be "Irish" in the old days. Or more recently "Irish" without the lace curtains in the north, around the time of the "troubles."
Unsubstantiated hatred, what a concept
Everyone that I discuss this with, has not moved one iota off their initial opinion as the story unfolded. From both sides they looked for "sound bites" that validated their initial view. I even got mad at my brother because he was 100% in Manti's corner but couldn't tell me why. People still want to hear what they want to hear and hate who they want to hate.
Bogs, as my daughters enter their 3rd year of Irish dance somebody finally told me the origin of dancing with your hands at your side.
I want to hear the explanation of how Diane O'Meara has a published picture showing the initials, date, and throwing the sign that Manti taught Lennay from his hometown.
O’Meara told Savannah Guthrie on TODAY Wednesday that Tuiasosopo, her former classmate at Paraclete High School in Lancaster, Calif., reached out to her on Facebook and described in great detail how he and his cousin had been in a traumatic car accident earlier in 2012. She claims that Tuiasasopo told her that he wanted to do a photo slideshow for his cousin for his birthday, and hoped O’Meara could supply a staged picture of herself holding up a sign that read “MSMK.’’
In early January, Tuiasosopo contacted O'Meara again to request more photos and a video of O'Meara saying "good luck on the 7th." Tuiasosopo told her his cousin's brain surgery had been pushed back. On Jan. 6, he texted her "Hey diane, just wanted to thank you again for your prayers & support. Tomorrow is the big day & we are being as positive as we can be!"
Jan. 7 was the date of the Discover BCS National Championship between Notre Dame and Alabama. O'Meara learned her identity had been used by Tuiasosopo to create Kekua when a Deadspin.com reporter contacted her Jan. 13.
Later that day, he confessed, O'Meara said. She said she asked Tuiasosopo why he didn't simply stop the hoax.
"He told me he wanted to end the relationship," O'Meara said. "He said he wanted to stop the relationship between Lennay and Manti, but Manti didn't want Lennay to break up with him ... He said he tried to stop the game many times."
They're pretty good at working in scissor lift jokes whenever they get the chance, it's classy.
MGoBlog is the freaking worst. Someone told me to go on there and I regret it. It's become abundantly clear that all of our rivals are content to bury their heads in the sand and believe whatever the hell they want regardless of what comes out. It's sad and pathetic.
Literally every post I make gets downvoted regardless of content. One guy even said that Floyd from the Cardinals said he met Lennay. Another said they dated for 3 years. It's insane. I've never seen such a concentrated group of tinfoil hat people in my life.
Little late to the party bro.
Just watched the 6 part from Katie, damn I will be honest my heart goes out to Manti and his family. I thought Katie was tough but fair. Any GM that sees that interview hopefully will see the sincerity in Manti's eyes.
OMG, Just had a conversation with one of my co-workers (FSU fan) where he just kept saying "Monty" Te'o is just an idiot, and his 11 yr old son wouldn't fall for this. He than goes on to say he will never believe what "Monty" has to say or any other ND fan says because he just cant understand it and ND fans will back him to the end no matter what. This is coming from a guy who supports Wilder, Reid and who ever was recently arrested from FSU. I tried to tell him some of the facts and Manti's explanations for things and he says "I dont buy it, he is an idiot"....My God I just keep thinking, I wonder if I will get fired if I tried to beat the ignorance out of him!
I can't go out wearing ND gear anymore without getting asked about Manti. getting frustrated
Someone on the radio spectulated that RT was in love with Manti and did this to get close to him. Probably not true but it's consistent with the events.
Yawn... this thing has been blown so far out of proportion for ol Manti. They need to start focusing more on how sick a motherfuc*er that Tuiasosopo kid is... ****ing defect.
