I'll be surprised if he ends up at ND. Committed only 2 weeks ago and already uneasy with decision in that he says he won't make a final one until NSD. If that's not a tell then I don't know what is.

Got to hope we keep Bryant and get Isaac/Wilson on campus.

Well, it's never an easy time and we will always have some wavering but I like to think after he gets back and gets a chance to talk to ND, whatever his issues are will be settled.

I get your feeling though. I hate it but not every commit is gonna be like Jaylon.

I think he stays. He keeps a lot of people off his back with what he said. The pressure on this kid leaving the south after GB has to be tremendous!

I agree. Let the the staff get a chance to feel him out and work their magic.

Taking a OV two+weeks after committing is not good, I don't care how you spin it. After ND stayed involved all this time and now he's going to wait to NSD to make a final decision?!

Anybody really think Kelly and CO. are comfortable with that? I wouldn't be.

I would still recruit the heck out of him because we've wanted him all along, unlike the Johnny-come-lately's. I would also recruit other needs heavily including his spot. If his space is open on NSD, fine. If not, fine.

Certainly want to keep the guys on board but this is where this past season comes to play. Trust the coaches and the player development. We will be contending while Kelly is here. Just gotta knock off the other than football distractions.

it isn't like we stopped talking to running backs after he committed either so what goes around comes around if he does switch to auburn we can only be upset with ourselves. Staff has a plan and its worked thus far.

I believe he will end up in South Bend

Agreed, but idk how upset I could be if he chose Auburn. Malzahn is a great offensive mind, and if I were a running back and he came calling, I would give him a chance as well.

Not to mention, we still have Carlisle for 3 years and Bryant looking (more) solid, along with GAIII, Mahone, and BatteringCam.

Would it suck? Yes. A big shocker? Not to me, considering Malzahn's track record and Folston's talent.

Apparently he likes Auburn's offense.

All I can say is too bad we don't have Gus Malzahn.

I hope he looks at the big picture! One program is trending up while the other has a way to go! That's only the football side of things! I just wish the 6th would get here already

RB Jordan Wilkins has decommited from Auburn.

Oh geez ... and the 247 update made it sound like Folston had a really great visit to Auburn, really likes the coaches and won't make a final decision till signing day.

Ugh. Not great. Circumstances seem to be conspiring against us here, when they worked in our favor so long, with other schools being full/having other targets higher on their list.

At least the staff is still recruiting some studs at other positions, this kid may leave us at the altar but I feel like this year we have other brides lined up.......sure would like to have him but let's get a few more 4 star+ kids and it will be OK.

Hopefully he has time to reflect, and the "newness" of UA wears off. I really don't want him to go, but it's not going to ruin my day. This class is awesome with or without him. Bryant likely stands the best chance to play early anyway so I'm not going to freak out.

I'm still committed to Notre Dame, but we'll see how everything pans out.

JC Shurburtt now has an article on Folston - "Irish commit Folston says he's now consierting Auburn after official" - Auburn 24/7 - not sure if it is the same update mentioned above

Even though Folston is the number one guy on our coaches' board for RB/slot, I think they aren't going to save a spot if another guy wants to step in that they feel has tools to help us go forward. It's just what I would do. No sour grapes.

So is he really committed then if he is considering someone else? For the life of me I can never understand the logic of recruiting.

He obviously wants to hold his spot at ND even though he may leave. Reality wise he shoud be considered uncommitted and Notre Dame leads.
