I think it looks fine for ND and Te'o. It also points out the stigma of online dating, which a lot of people who have met significant others online can relate to and therefore will have an understanding of Te'o's situation.

Reading between the lines, I assume there was some deception on Te'o's part intended to cover-up the fact that it was an online relationship. Swarbrick wants to let Te'o put that in own words (and probably apologize for it), so he's dancing around that issue.

I dont think we did either but the first thing I read was the ND football facebook page with haters saying that ND and the whole team knew and lied about it to get national spotlight, proposterous I know but seriously that would be the one of the worst things to ever happen to us.

How did this go on so long without Stanford checking to see if she really was a student, or without all the TV shows & newspapers & magazines who wrote about it actually checking their facts? This entire hoax would have immediately unravelled if anyone had actually done just a little bit of looking into it.
