I'd bet his draft stock took a hit. Maybe he is just way socially awkward and immature in this area.

Either Te'o knew or not, I am extremely disappointed to be an ND fan... First time I have ever said that in my life, but it's true.

Why? The Kim Dunbar fiasco was much more serious than this. This is just embarrassing and mainly for Teo. ND didnt willfully benefit from all of this. They didnt propagate any misleading information or benefit from a contrived lie.

He's a longtime poster and wouldn't be confused about seeing it. He definitely saw it, I believe him. I just couldn't find it b/c I don't know which twitter account it is.

The actual Twitter account, @LennayKay, was deleted at some point. There's a new @LennayKay which was just created today, but it's an obvious fake. Since the net is basically a giant archive, I'm sure someone will be able to dig it up, but it's beyond me.

That was not my original opinion, until i started listening to Mike Francesia who convinced me that he will fall in the draft and may not even be drafted. Damn you Mike Francesia

That is completely ridiculous. You don't actually believe that do you?

What? You're confused about who I was replying to. After she "died" Manti, or someone posing as Manti, posted a tweet from her account saying thanks for the support or something along those lines. Hopefully that wasn't really Manti. So f'ng confusing.

Sorry, but you had quoted my post.

Did he or did he not meet her at Stanford? If he made that up....ouch!
Exactly my point regarding the nfl draft. If he lied about how he met her and their relationship he is screwed.

Also, teams might not thinking he is mentally able to live an NFL player life.

He lied, no matter if he was part of the hoax or not. Teams are going to throw every question at him during the interview process. Do you guys remember when the dolphins asked Dez Bryant if his mother was a hooker.

I'm pretty sure he got played, but he still lied to everyone about the relationship and how they met etc.

Whether he lied or not (and he did), its just an embarrassment to himself. It doesn't change the player he is. I could see this making a team skittish about using a top 10 pick on him, but no way a guy with his talent falls to the second round.

If anything, Manti needs to wise up and understand that people are going to be coming from all sides to get a piece of the pie. Good luck to him, as it appears he's a very naive man and needs to have his guard up.

I spoke to ND's Grant Patton, who witnessed Manti Te'o receiving call about GF's death: "He was distraught. It was pain personified."

Saw this on twitter.

Thats my worry too. The life is ridiculous. If he doesnt wise up he's going to end up falling for many more scams.

Have now heard of two people, who weren't Manti Te'o, that had phone conversations with "Lennay Kekua." Was a voice on the phone, anyway.

This is one of the most bizarre things I have ever heard. Surreal.

I am still believing Teo wasn't apart of it, at least until more information comes out. Teo has always struck me as young and naive.

I do not believe he could physically put on a show like that. There is no way he is that good of an actor. You all saw him look decimated and crying on the sidelines. There is no way he is faking that. God I hope...

I just dont get how anyone is upset with ND about this.......they literally had no way on controlling who he talks to on the internet. Relax people ND will be just fine, Te'o will take a bit of a media hit though

Sorry, it's my coping mechanism to make endless, and classless, jokes about serious situations.

My question is: How can one go out with a girl without ever seeing her in person? You need at least one kiss in my book.

I am not that old btw.

Another thing to consider is that he may only want to date LDS girls, and maybe even only LDS polynesian girls. Likely not a whole lot of those on ND campus.

While that may be the case for you, keep in mind he is a Mormon.
