While flattered, I'm not sure just why I'm included. Granted I have been alive longer than most on this board so I suppose that supports some "lifetime achievement" recognition.

However, I don't know the nuts and bolts of football as do OMM and many others. I never had the chance to "know" Goshen Gipper, but his IE legacy speaks volumes.

I tell my stories, **** people off with my grammar pointers and do what I can to lighten the mood and load with attempts at humor. We all play roles "IRL" and on internet boards.

I have my gripes about how "things went down" while I was at ND. Overall I love the place for the friends I made in the student body, faculty and administration. That the Irish were a successful college football program while I was there is icing on the cake.

I support Goshen Gipper for the Lifetime Achievement award that bears his name.
