Well if Kansas State had of beaten Baylor they would be playing Notre Dame and not Bama and do you think the Irish would of showed up to play them or would Colin Klein just do the same to your defense as Bama is doing? Also do you think our offense would of shown some life against K-State?

No.

We deserved to know where we stood.

We stand right now, at a loss to the better team tonight.

To make a thread like this looks worse than losing to a team by four touchdowns.

Have some more red, for being a dodger.

This is lousy but it's where we are. This will set us up moving forward. This team has won on a big stage and now will have lost on the biggest stage.

We're playing for the.. wait for it.. NATIONAL CHAMPIONSHIP!!!! Just because we're, quite frankly, getting blown out, you should stand by your team. Be proud we got here instead of not even having the chance! If you haven't already turned off the game, please do so now. Thanks

Is what it is. In a playoff we'd probably have played Oregon/KSU in a semifinal and then 'Bama in the ship anyways. Can't rely on other teams to do the work for you.

I cannot believe how well Saban prepares in that 30+ day stretch. His teams have come about and first half stomped the other team in all 3 of his 'Bama championships.

Hands down the best coach in CFB.

That is a loser way to look at this. Being "good" is what losers wish to achieve. We wanted to be the best and we fell short. There is no shame in going for everything.

It' pretty amazing. I hate most things SEC, especially Bama/Saban, but damn. During the tunnel walk, the Bama players looked so loose, almost intimidating. Our players looked still, tight, and intimidated.

When I saw them run out, I wish that Kelly would have kept our guys in the locker room. It would have been better for them to go out loose than to have to have those guys run out in front of them like that. It set a negative tone from the start.

I agree. We would have heard the SEC cries if they didn't get a chance to win it anyways.

How does Bama keep getting these freight train running backs?

I'm with you. Gave me a bad, uneasy feeling from the start. I went from being intimidated myself watching the tunnel, to PO'd in a hurry after the quick score, and then outraged at the play calling on our first drive. Humbling to say the least. Hard to overcome all that. Then I took a quick walk, smoked a cig, gave myself a good talking to, and came off the ledge... LOL. Again, lots of lessons learned for everyone.

I believe you hit on a key point, and maybe the biggest reason tonight went like it did. I think the ND players were jacked up for too long leading up to tonight, and it took a toll on them by the time the game finally got here. They were just emotionally exhausted by gametime.

Yeah, I said it then, I'll say it now...would have been better if K-State or Oregon didn't lose. I think despite Bama being dominate, we were a bit sloppy tonight. Poor tackling on our part coupled with hard running by Bama. It would have been nice to stick to the the SEC for a year, but it would have been nicer to have a better matchup. We weren't ready for Bama, and if we would have won against an undefeated K-State, it still would have been a title.

For The Irish to get to this point in three of the Kelly era is fantastic. Last night will be a great learning experience for this team and coaches. The future is bright and now that we know where the bar is, we can get there. Love this team and glad it was 'Bama last night.

NO!

The best team is supposed to win. A national title vs K-State would have been hollow. If we go 12-0 and beat say a 13-0 OSU for the national title it will be hollow. To be the best you have to take the belt from the best.

I wanted Bama. No excuses.

I would take a hollow championship over an embarrassment to Bama, but thats just me. Easier to stomach *******s that want to play the "what if" game after you've won, than to suffer the *******s that want to rub it in when you fail to show up.

Im happy we got bama, The national title should be for who is the best. And it was proved last night. I wanted to play an sec team and silence the sec chants, but now it seems they have only grown louder.

I do think its pretty classless of people to neg rep you for expressing your frustration after a humiliating loss last night though. While i dont agree with what you said, it would be nice if people could express their frustrations without fear of being mobbed by people. As irish fans it would be nice if we could talk it out with each other instead of just kicking a fan when hes already down.
