This kids work ethic is going make him a fan favorite. If you follow twitter at all and have seen his account, it's all team, work, and get better dialogue. This guy is not only a perfect fit for this school but he will be a leader before he leaves ND.

I doubt I am the only one coming away very impressed with that highlight tape. He seems faster from sideline to sideline than in previous highlight tapes. I am happy we got him, even if he is considered a 3* by most services.

No your not, in fact its been quite the topic for discussion on many ND boards as of late. Very impressive highlights. His lateral speed does look better than what I think a lot of people were aticipating.

I wouldn't be mad if we got more 3 stars like him.

I'm liking his linebacker film more than Anzalones. With no intended disrespect to the young man. I realize Anzalone played both ways and gave a lot on the offensive side.

Deeb's gonna be a player at ND.

Deeb's definitely been putting in the work. Him and his teammates do hot yoga a few days a week, run hills pretty frequently, and he seems to just eat and breath football. He's doing everything humanly possible to make himself a better football player, and it's working. Great job young man. Keep up the hard work.

This kid is way better than Anzalones. Much more intensity, lots meaner. A Notre Dame kind of LB. I like this guy.

Anzalone was the top LB over Matthew Thomas today at the UA game practice and has been "consistent all week"

Deeb is solid but I'd take Anzalone

And Anzalone is more athletic. I'm happy they'll be playing next to each other. And next to Jaylon. And Doug Randolph. Life is good.

A fantasy story: someone came over to the Kelly residence and asked him "Coach. Who would you rather have, Anzalone or Deeb?" Kelly looked at him like he had zero heads. "Notre Dame has both."

All of the Anzalones or just Alex? Either way, it's a bit of a stretch to say Deeb is better than Alex. Bigger? Yes. Better? Neither one has played a down of college football but every recruiting site strongly disagrees with you.

He reminds me more of Urlacher, more natural in coverage good lateral movement, quick acceleration . . . Michel is just fine, as is Alex.

Wait a minute, I was going to finish this post, but look at this! We got four guys this good coming in and someone wants to compare one to the other?

No fear, like I said Deeb is better anyway.

What happens if he gets hurt though? Then we have ZERO ILBs in the past two classes. This situation is pretty ****ed if we don't get another player in this class.

Randolph could swing over, but it is extremely thin there still.

The worst thing is that this kid literally pitched a fit about ND recruiting other ILBs so ND basically stopped pounding the pavement after guys committed elsewhere. Then he drops this on the staff at the 11th hour.

It's actually infuriating if you stop to think about it. The nerve of this kid ... We shut recruiting down at his position apparently just to appease him, and then he ditches us? Ugh.

I'm sure at least one or two players will get moved to ILB. I'm not very knowledgeable of each player's skillset and who has the physicality to move inside, but I could see Randolph, Rabasa, or another OLB moving to an ILB spot. He's probably not a good fit for ILB, but I'd love to see Okwara creating havoc in the middle.
