All I will say is those premium sites have yet to get a quote from Mr. Redfield himself. Like stated above...we all could go out there and even with our hate for usc, we would come out of it saying that was one of the best weekends of our life. Things wear off and facts/impressions come full circle.

Yep, great points. Farrell and Gorney were adamant that Oregon led ... till someone actually asked Max about it. I am really curious to see what Sapp gets from him.

Good update. Talks about the irony of Redfield only going to USC this past weekend because Oregon told him not to visit because he was set on Notre Dame... and now USC is back in the mix.

No, he hasn't committed to them. No, no one has first hand quotes from Redfield. USC also pitched him on playing WR for them, among other things. Never count Kiffin out if he gets last visit.

Bottom line... the worst thing is that Redfield never had his parents visit ND, whereas his parents have been to USC. Would've been awesome to have them on all on campus this past weekend... but that's recruiting.

I'm still completely unconvinced that this visit has changed the status quo... but obviously we've got a month to go until he announces at the Under Armour AA game and a lot can happen in that time. Saying Redfield was a huge Irish lean heading into the trip would be an understatement, and as great of a time as he had I don't see that changing things in the long run.

We'll see.

Maybe Redfield is trolling them?

Tee and Dee did a similar thing last year...

Although, let's hope Max doesn't end up at Houston.

I don't Tee was really trolling them. I'm pretty sure it was said that he was seriously considering them and even had Monte Kiffin over for an in home visit where Deontay told Denbrock about it and he ran over to try convince Tee to trust him about ND while Kiffin was there. If this was trolling its probably safe to say it probably not something you want all your recruits to do.

Tee wasn't trolling, he was about to commit to USC actually. Dee was the only the one that saw the BS dripping out of Kiffin's ear and called our coaching staff to tell them about it. Gotta love the winter months of recruiting!

Not that this will probably matter, but tee martin is expected to leave his job as wr coach at usc to take a spot for butch jones at ut.

This is actually very good for us.....he was a good recruiter and many of the recruits always had good things to say about him.

Sapp has a quick update on Redfield ... basically same as ISD. The visit went really well for SC. Marvin Sanders, SC DB coach, made a serious connection with Hawkins, Cravens and Redfield as a group. Redfield had a great meeting with Tee Martin (WRs) and Clay Helton (passing game coord) as well. The source believes Redfield will be a Trojan. For his part, Sapp reiterated that we had a huge lead coming into the visit and he thinks it's a good sign that Redfield didn't recommit.

Still no quote from Redfield yet though. We'll see what he says.

Does the DB coach typically keep his job when a new Defensive Coordinator rolls in? Not being wise...just don't know. I have a sense that Lane is as good at "wowing" the recruit as he is bad at calling a tight game. "hey Momte isn't around anymore...how about sitting down with our WR Coach".

The irony of it all is that with a month left before his announcement, SC actually has a logistical advantage in the recruitment seeing as they don't have a national championship game to prepare for at around the same time as MaxRed's decision an all. Still, I think this kid will see the light. Or at least I hope so...

Yeah...i guess it's a bit easier to get ready for the 6-7 Georgia Tech (Sun Bowl) than it is bama for the National Championship.
