I agree big mistake-even avoiding his praise stuff should be the rule here. The whole espn group gives the Irish no chance. They may be right we will see but personally I dont give this guy or that group the time of day. Just eliminate his $%#@. Just go down to Norman and get on the bull and let it buck. Absolutely nothing to lose. Question is if they do beat OU what do you do with the Irish now Mr Know It All. The schedule is stout we all know that, it doesnt take a genius to know this was a top 5 schedule and so far these guys are 7-0. Win this game and see eyes turn to South Bend. I give them a 1/5 chance and have picked wrong 7 times this year-happyly going for 0-8. As I said to a buddy earlier this week -hell they cant beat OU in Norman-you never know.

No, train was very vocal about it...all he did was b!tch about the team and BK and the schedule and how we'd be lucky to start 1-1 and blah blah blah. Seriously, he said the same damn thing on every single thread he entered, to the point that many of us had to tell him to either STFU or write something new (be negative all you want, but be original, or at least give us credit for having already read your message the first 30 times). Seriously, he had the same message EVERY SINGLE TIME:

* This is a 7-5/6-6 program.
* The schedule is too hard.
* NO ONE can win here.
* I'm not going to watch much; I'll be playing golf instead.
* The program is in the dumps and may never win again.
* We WILL start 1-1.
* This is not even a top 35 team.
* The haters are right; we suck.
Etc etc etc.


And train absolutely believed it, and he made sure we all knew what he believed. So go ahead and give him credit for coming back (even though he said he wouldn't post much during the season cause we were going to suck), but he gets no credit from me because of how many times he posted the same damn thing just to remind us all how much we suck, with no variety in his posts. yeah, funny how he has recently gone about spinning his overly negative BS at the beginning of the season into part of a master plan to pick against the Irish every game to avoid a jinx.

Interesting stuff from Kelly on the Herd today. Cowherd tried to bait him by saying that we don't have an offensive identity, and Kelly was very humble. "We aren't a great team," -- but we are getting there, and we are already mentally and physically tough enough to give anybody a game anywhere.

Based on what Kelly says here and what he said in this week's presser, it's clear that he wants to be able to spread teams out and blitzkrieg them with a high-powered passing attack. But at some point in the spring he realized that he simply does not have the personnel for that at QB and WR right now. So he made a decision to win games by running the football and playing tough defense, and when Golson is ready, then we will start slinging it.

Didn't hear the show. I can't listen to that garbage. What, specifically did he say in reference to a recruit. I'm moderately worried this may be a violation. Aren't they not allowed to talk about recruits or things like that in a public forum? Kiffin got in trouble with something similar at Tennessee when he had ESPN around when he sat down with a recruit.

The USC/OU/ND thing does seem to point to Luke though.

Heard Cowherd said that he spoke to a relative of a recruit who is considering OU and ND but wanted to go to USC and would have if he had had a committable offer.

Don't think that is any kind of violation. No coaches are involved at all. Obviously it is totally fine for a recruit and his family to speak to the media; happens all the time.

This was after the CBK segment. CC said he had spoken to the cousin of a recruit who said that he would have chosen USC if a spot was open, but since it wasn't, he is between OU and ND. Also said the recruit likes ND because of immediate playing time being available. Definitely no violation here as this had nothing to do with CBK. It was CC actually making a veiled reference that our secondary is weak IMO.

Its Coke Luke. Cowherd said he talked to the recruit's uncle. According to ISD, Luke is the nephew of Darren Woodson who is employed by ESPN and I'm pretty sure is a weekly guest on the Herd.
