Whether he flips or not (I think he does) shows how Kelly & Co. are changing the recruiting landscape. It looks the staff has changed the way elite prospects view Notre Dame, of course winning helps do that.
When Kelly first got here he had a great track record of turning lowly programs into winners. There was a vision he was selling about future success. A 5 minute plan, not a question of if but when etc etc. There have been ups and downs both on the field and on the recruiting trail. Think about this, the first year could not have started out any worse than it did. Losing to Navy, Tulsa, both Michigan's, I mean are you serious. On the other hand it couldn't have ended any better! 4 straight wins and that monkey off our back of beating USC at their house! Then their was momentum on the trail with Lynch(I know some get upset but I'm still glad we had him for a year, was very fun to watch), Tuitt, and Ishaq! Onto year 2! Same results you say? Not hardly, same record but the flip side is team growth and young depth and Kelly got on 3 occasions to keep Sr stars that we desperately needed for growing the younger guys with Floyd, Te'o, and Eifert! Then reaped in Davonte' Neal after signing day. Not to mention all the buzz around the program from guys like Armstead among others. Not everything is gonna work out but you are noticing the staffs growth. Kelly and his crew are winning games on the field and on the trail! Kelly went back to what got him here! He's a players coach again! To me if he hadn't done this, the foundation he has built over the last 2 years may have gone for not. Now we are 6-0 and talking about the possibility of flipping a couple studs from our biggest rival! You couldn't write this stuff! Anyways this really wasn't directed at you as much as your post inspired it. It's been a long time coming though and this stuff runs through my head and I wanted to say it before my head exploded! Lol
Kiffin wants to bring John Goodman to USC for a 6th year to fair catch punts for the Trojs
He did a interview on ESPN and said his verbal commitment to USC is soft and will take an official to Washington in a couple of weeks.
He had glowing things to say about ND, their tradition, campus and the game.

Is he looking to early entry?
I couldn't find his measurables and times listed at the opening so it doesn't look like he attended. Is there any camps listed where he was in attendance with his 40 time and height and weight?

I doubt it. But there are two safety positions. Plus he's probably goibg to be a stud nickel DB as a sophomore anyway.
The other thing that stood out to me in the interview when asked about his relationship to Cravens relative to USC, Max said they talk daily and even if he didn't go to USC he believed they would still have a strong relationship. This from a USC reporter.
Him mentioning not going to USC was telling when talking to a USC reporter. He's clearly not worried about the talk of Kiffen pulling his scholly if that is even the case. Or making the USC fan base feel secure about his commitment.
