Right. Everyone agrees that our chances of flipping Redfield are low, and always have been, but Notre Dame is one of those places where it's either for you or it's not; and if it's for you, then it's for you and you don't care about distance and weather and a lot of relatively superficial things. When we get guys on campus there's always the chance that they discover that we just have something that they didn't even know they wanted. Will Mahone of last year's class is a good example of such a guy.
So, ALLGATOR, I totally get what you are saying, and I think we all have to admit that if you look at it logically it's unlikely that Redfield will flip. But weird things happen when we get kids on campus sometimes. Redfield witnessed a great Notre Dame moment in an electric atmosphere, and that can have consequences that defy logic.
I am not optimistic, exactly, but I'm daring to hope.
That is a nice spin on Allgator's post, but really what Allgator is doing is making up some BS about Kiffin and Redfield trolling and then offering the most likely scenrio--that MR will stay with USC--as proof of the conspiracy. I think that sounds pretty far-fetched personally. These kids aren't brain-washed and ND has a lot going for it.
