You can return missed FGs for TDs in NCAA '13?

I had one returned in me in an online dynasty game. Was trying to kick a45 yarder but my kick meter lagged and it barely made it to the goal line. He had a safety back and ran it back untouched down the opposite sideline.

Wow that's a tough way to give up a TD. My condolences brother.

Its so easy to run them back because of the blocking personnel for the kicking team. I always catch the ball in the end zone and run straight towards the kicking team, reverse field and the race is on. I always win.

It helped that C Breezy was 99 speed, 99 acceleration, and 99 agility. He was only an 88 overall.

I bet he gets behind the defense again this weekend too. This time EG puts it right in his hands.

Not sure if you guys heard this also. But, at half time as the team was walking into the tunnel you could hear Golson telling Brown something like "My bad I threw the ball to much on a line, should have put more arc in the throw."

Found it very interesting that today the Chuck Martin said that Chris Brown is going to be more involved in the offense going forward, and definitely more-so than Neal or Ferguson. I assumed the case with Ferg, but thought Neal would see more time as well. Either way, pumped Chris is going to get more time and experience out there.

^ Hence the italics.. The coaches know what's up.. They've got to start putting points on the board. OU, USC and Stanford's defenses may be a little less forgiving.

One thing I think some people may have missed from the Michigan game:

1st done from our own nine. First offensive play of the game. Chris Brown is out there. (And gets open on the play...)

IMO that shows how much the staff likes him.

He seems to be out there early in every game, going deep. But, as the game goes on, we have dialed back the play calling and become more conservative.

I think as Golson gains confidence you will see more and more opening up with this offense. Chris is a big factor here...lights out speed! When he goes deep, he is always open. Also notice Chris is on the field with Golson...never with Tommy. Coaches know Tommy can't make that deep pass like Everett can.

It'll come. Hopefully we see his first big grab next week in Chi-Town when he torches their secondary for 6....or 12...or 18...go get 'em Chris!

Chris: "yo EG, throw the ball as far as you can b/c i'm going to run under it and take it to the house."

EG: "understood, CB."

Where are these quotes from Martin and Diaco coming from? Have they done interviews recently?

Yep.

He can still blow up, if you will. Golden Tate had exactly zero receptions the first four games of his freshman season, but then the fifth game BAMMO! 104 yards on three receptions, with a touchdown to boot.

I have no doubts that this will happen this season. Chris Brown is just too fast and our QB's can't miss him 100% of the time.

Super PUMPED that they are trying to get Chris the ball more. I still expect us to get the ball in the hands of Davonte. Seems like jet sweeps or jail break screens would be simple easy ways to get both of these speedsters the ball.

This bye week is going to do wonders for the offense. All the little kinks with the line, the running game, and the rest of the offense should be worked out to a much higher degree.

I certainly hope, and almost expect, to see a much more fluid and consistent Irish offense against Miami. So glad, once again, that we made it to the bye 4-0. Sky is the limit for this team.

Thanks for the link peoria. I love how enthusiastic Diaco is and how much Marting likes to screw with the media (extremely sarcastic)

cant agree with you more. and i'll add--even though we came out of the michigan game with now "new" injuries--the added time this week will do wonders for additional treatment/healing...mentally and physically.

when i saw CB on the field for the first snap i just had a hunch EG would try and throw to him. Its kinda predictable for us ND fans but I still think our opponents are sleeping on his speed.

As soon as our QB situation matures, CB will be #1 in yards. He'll battle TE for TDs. Won't take long hopefully. Timing and touch will come to EG once he learns to settle down a bit. When EG learns to connect with CB consistently, IMO our entire offense blossoms. The run game will flourish, and pass coverage will be stretched and challenged to the point of chaos. Book it.
