Nice touch. It drives me crazy when people don't realize that, or they try to compare out non-top 25 teams to the FBS D1-AA or FCS teams the higher ranked teams play. It's not even close.

USA Today | Sports | NCAAF | Polls

ND +4
OU -10
KSU +5

ND jumped over UF guess the SEC coaches didn't want to be too greedy.

It appears voters in both polls were more impressed by ND's stellar defensive play than they were unimpressed with ND's lack of record setting offense.

the only team with a respectable schedule so far ahead of us is Stanford, everyone else has a laughable schedule

Well, looks like Miami came thru for me. Miami beat GT.

I was at this game, and Miami really fought hard is this. Morris looked good but I think our Dline will be in his face aaaallll day, but looking at it Miami is probably the most balanced offense we play all year. I hope our oline straightens things out so we can get a running game going.

Up 1 in the Coaches Poll as SU lost.

Move up 1 inAP as SU drops down but UTX could move ahead of idle ND negating the gain.

Up to #9 in AP. VERY close to passing WVU for #8.... looks like the inability to play any defense only goes unnoticed in the SEC.

EDIT: #10 in coaches. Texas at #9 SMH. Washington beats a top 10 team and can't even crack the top 25... but Boise who hasn't beaten anyone can! This poll needs to be done away with.

hopefully we slide up a spot in the coaches poll too. I wish Miami wouldve ranked. MSU fell out, we better start praying some of the teams we beat start winning and getting ranked

Despite the "please don't look ahead" mentality we all should have, this week could provide a huge opportunity for Notre Dame to move up with a convincing win.

#1 Alabama
#2 Oregon (vs. #23 Washington)
#3 Florida State
#4 LSU (@ #10 Florida)
#5 Georgia (at #6 South Carolina)
#6 South Carolina (vs. #5 Georgia)
#7 Kansas State
#8 West Virginia (at #11 Texas)
#9 Notre Dame
#10 Florida (vs. #4 LSU)
#11 Texas (vs. #8 West Virginia)

Again, it would have to be a convincing 15+ point win, but three teams could realistically fall below Notre Dame and Texas and Florida wouldn't necessarily pass the Irish.

I'll take a win regardless.

Yeah if the Domers come out of this weekend clean could be 6th or seventh. Come out the next 4 clean and we're easily top 5 or higher! Control your own destiny!

Definitely should be rooting for Florida and Texas. Both those teams will lose a couple times down the road. I'll be rooting for South Carolina as well. And obviously Washington. If we win by any score we will jump either South Carolina or Georgia and any other team that loses ahead of us. Florida would jump us with a win even if we blew out Miami

We've gone from the "hunter" to the "hunted" We'll see what kind of heart we have now.

I think both will win and jump Notre Dame regardless of a win.

I agree. They would definitely leapfrog us with a win vs another top 10. As they should.

But in any case we should pass at least South Carolina/ UGA with a win. Anything after that wont impact us too much immediately as one team will fal behind us and another leapfrogs us. We should still root for the upsets as someone said, so more teams will have loses near the end of the season (hopefully we are still in it at that point!)

Well if we win it is almost certain we move up one spot because of USCe-Georgia. We just need to keep on winning and everything will fall into place.

This is when CFB gets really interesting, especially when ND is good, I get much more into all the games being played. Sadly, overrated FSU isn't going anywhere because they play the most pathetic schedule in the country and are media darlings. I hate WVU, my gf is an alum as are a few friends, they believe they should be ranked right behind Bama. It's funny that they fail to consider the danger of allowing 63 points to Baylor.

What would happen if FSU, ND, Oregon, and Bama all finished without a loss? Bama is automatic...but out of the other 3 teams? Would ND get left out? I'd imagine not because of the hype a Bama vs. ND Natty would create.
