whatever.

You guys went nuts when Taylor Swift showed up on the sidelines.

I think it's hilarious. The kids are finally finding some seriousness.

Thank God they didn't bring him on stage. Have a great time at the SF shows. My tour days are long gone. I try to see them a couple times a year now. Love them almost as much as ND Football.

Lots of love man.

I'm going on a 3 week road trip that will end with my 95th Phish show!

Starts later today.

Safe travels, my friend.

Don't eat the blue acid...

So you'll be in Denver soon, correct?

It's not because Bieber likes good music...It's because he's a hipster that thinks it makes him look cool. This is the same kid that is part of the music movement that doesn't write their own songs, auto tunes everything, and wears horrible clothes. Sorry, I ain't buyin that "the bebs" is a big Phish fan.

Phish is a good band. Not my cup of tea, but I had some good times in college to some Phish music.

I think he just wanted to see what talent sounds like.

Love me some Phish. I'm from the Chicago area so I always catch the Deer Creek (or Verizon Wireless Corporate Conglomerate Sponsorship Center, whatever they call it these days) and Alpine shows no matter what each summer.

Probably seen them a couple dozen times. Think they've been pretty strong in their return since the 04 "hiatus" and had an awesome summer tour thus far in 2012.

Good to see some fellow Irish fans be Phish fans!

As for Bieber, I agree - he's doing it because he thinks it makes him cool. I highly doubt he's interested in the music, but at least for me it's always interesting to see bands that I love in that genre, like Phish, get credit. And hey, if that's what kids are doing now because it's "cool," then sweet. It certainly wasn't like that when I was growing up!

I think the above comments just about sum it up....I really dont listen to Beebs and really couldnt identify ANY song that is his....However, i was recently at a minor league baseball game and in the parking lot was playing a song that I was unaware was a Beebs song. I had the same reaction that most do/did when they heard Beebs for the first time, I thought it was a girl singing the song. I should have suspected something was up when all the 7-10 year-old started reacting to the song

Love Deer Creek as well. And I have a special place in my heart for Phish at Alpine. The two 04 shows there were epic, especially the second night. First set of Stash, Moma, with a great Wilson and sick Funky B!itch. Second set, which we all thought was the last they would play at Alpine, was incredible. Boogie on Reggae Woman > Ghost > Free, Friday > Piper > Harry Hood, then an insane encore of Possum.

Man, Phish. It's not just the music, it's the memories of those shows, and the people that were there, everything. Makes me happy just thinking about it.

ive never really been into Phish all that much...was never into the Grateful Dead either..I do recoqnize that both bands were great in talent, but just not my cup tea. However, I do have alot of Phish mp3's and they have a live version of the Bob Marley song 'Trenchtown Rock' that I think is super cool.

Any of you phans go to Big Cypress? Greatest time I ever had. I turned down a free trip to Hawaii to go. No regrets.

I can never look at a piece of cheesecake the same. What a great time. I will never forget Ben & Jerry signing during Brother.

Southeast Swing for Me. Pelham, ATL, & NC. All I can handle these days.

I feel a rather odd sense of pride in the fact I have never heard a Phish song, and wouldn't be able to tell you who they were if I saw them playing on the corner...

I can't really say why either... maybe it's my understanding that they are a hippie band... and I share Eric Cartman's feelings towards those "people"... lol

idk, point is, I have never in my life heard a single song from them.

Ditto...

I can't really say why either... maybe it's because I do know hippies tend to love them (my understanding) and I share Eric Cartman's feelings towards those "people"... lol

Ditto here too...

Jam bands just aren't my thing. I'm a musician so you think I'd be into it...I dunno.

Funny how I've been a follower on here for a long time and have never contributed to a thread. Hell I live in the same town Gunner comes from and spent the last three years watching him play football at east high school. This thread however I reply to...? The Creek/verizon is my home venue. Traveled around the country trading deer creek dead tickets to get in their other shows. The creek was always popular. Never followed Phish like I did the dead. One of my favorite Phish shows I did go to was the Cincinnati zoo show back in or around 93..memories are fuzzy from that time period of my life:) Played bouncin around the room on trampolines

We've got a lot of Phish and Cherry Garcia in the basement freezer. Thank you, Ben & Jerry.

Sadly, or gladly, I'll admit I had to Google to know what the heck a "Phish" is. If I've heard them, I didn't know it. Of course, Garth Brooks had retired before I knew who he was.

AM radio just isn't gettin' it I guess.

Being proud that you don't know Phish isn't the appropriate response. The only reason that anyone should be proud is if they saw both Phish and Justin Bieber in a thread title, looked at Justin Bieber and said "Who?"
